Ben Hughes looks versatile too - he's played right back, right wing and took his goal like a seasoned striker

Seen Shaw in the midfield role and was very impressed. Although with his stature he looks like a CF, and has an eye for a goal. I am optimistic for the lad.

Tall and mobile, gets well between boxes. Also posses good footwork making it hard to nick ball off him under pressure.

In my opinion there are probably 4 or 5 of the current under-23 team who have a chance of at least making the first team squad within the next 18 months or so?

 

That said this season’s policy of experience is the right one as this gives us our best chance of promotion certainly given that it is the last chance saloon for perhaps 60% of this current squad?
