Potentially played a blinder with Bruce. He came in sorted out a lot of the issues behind the scenes. "Sold him" to Newcastle and bring in Monk to carry on the good work.

Well played Chansiri was clearly his plan all along...

Maybe Chansiri should take over on Brexit from Johnson.

Years of us thinking he was clueless but turns out he had a cunning plan all along.

I'm not getting too excited yet until we start playing the bully teams. We've had all the "nice teams" so far. We've played none of the top 6 yellow card teams yet...

Tbf releasing Matias and hooper helped it some what . Sacking clueless was the main reason .

You might also include Abdi in releasing time in the treatment room, though based on his record he may not have been fit enough to attend it.

On that note, anyone understand this fair play table? Are we a bully team?

https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/championship/fairnesstabelle/wettbewerb/GB2

It’s a bit bizarre isn’t it....on face value not only are we a bully team but we’ve played most of the other bully teams as well......and yet we haven’t committed 1 foul?

And what’s the difference between the half yellow half red column (which I’m assuming is a red for 2 yellows) and the same icon followed by just a red?

i wouldn’t pay much attention to it

Carlos was clearly inept.

his style worked and will work again for a short time

short term, unprofessional, reckless as it is

as for our present situation, cross fingers we can stay fitter longer now

I would have thought professional sportsmen would have taken steps to keep their fitness levels up even if the manager was negligent. I know it's tempting to doss off if not pushed but self respect should come into it.

Players don't have a full days work training, they have a lot of free time. Not too difficult to ask a fitness coach to set you an extra schedule. These guys have worked for other clubs and know what a proper fitness regime entails, if they aren't getting it they should realise it.

Lots of Carlos bashing in this thread but surely a big part of it is the players. Some of them must be injury prone and others nearly always fit. Players like Lees, Reach and Palmer didn't seem to get injured with different training methods.

If you're a player, I don't get why you'd choose to skip training sessions if the managers was to let you, surely there'd need to be a reason like carrying a knock and not laziness. They're professional athletes so must want to be as fit as they can be, surely... and that means training hard not skiving.

Would imagine that players like Lee and Hooper are predisposed to injuries, and after 10 years of playing at a high level its taken it's toll

Our injury list disappeared with the clown.

Rubbish. There were just as many injuries under Jos as there were with Carlos. Bruce had a fair number of injuries towards the end of last season too. Add in some serious, long-term injuries to players like Lee and Winnall and you really can't put the blame squarely on Carlos.

What has changed is our squad and medical and fitness department. We've released or sold many of the perpetually injured players and made the prudent appointment of Strudwick. Combined with a different playing and coaching style and a bit more depth, it's putting less stress on players and meaning we are seeing less fatigue-related injuries too.

The long term injury problems suffered by the likes of Lee, Lees, Hooper, Bannan, Hutchinson, Westwood and Forestieri all started under Carlos.

Back to Portugal with Carlos the fraud and Matias.

And to think there are still some fans that think he's one of our greatest Managers, and cheered him off the coach when he returned with his boyhood club Swansea.

Embarrassed for them.
