Dan™
I thought it was a ridiculous decision live, but the linesman was right. Praise where it's due.
McRightSide
Just watch the replay again. Its offside
Dan™
Can't really see clearly from this angle, but Fletcher's leg is beyond the last defender's. Edited October 5, 2019 by Dan™
bradowl
The ref and his assistants had stinkers, nothing wrong with goal that was disallowed. Apparently these clowns regularly officiate Premier League games.

So long as there are two players behind the ball it's not offside.
latemodelchild
That pic above looks like it was close. At the time I thought it was either inept or corrupt. If he's called that right then fair play. It's about the only thing he did right though. He looked to Mason for every decision today, absolutely pathetic. lanzaroteowl
Another decision that could have cost us in injury time, was when the ball didn't go out of play and there player picked it up and the ref played on.
asteener1867
Couldn't tell from the Kop...obviously once the lads on The North had checked "twitter"...We ALL knew it was a bad decision
Lord Snooty
I don't think it was as bad as that one against Leeds the other year

Dan™
If we want to talk about bad decisions though, another incident from today's game was probably the 'highlight' of the season so far:

You need two defensive players between the attacker and the ball, one of which is usually the keeper. If the keeper is advanced of one defender, surely the keeper and the defender are still the two defenders. I wasn't at the game as I have the flu. Was the keeper possibly further from goal than Fletcher? I thought it was unless I dreamt it up Soz

I'm not going to claim to be an expert but I was under the impression it was 2 defenders, with no specification for the keeper.
