Lord Snooty
Bit of a soft one too really. Little bit surprised the ref has gone back to him. Actually I'm not surprised because we get some right finickity chumps. Either way. The door will now be open to Luongo.
S36 OWL
We all knew it was coming. Probably the first of many bans this season
Kopparberg
Looked a bit of a daft one. Edited October 1, 2019 by Kopparberg
alanharper
Nothing in it really. Only got a yellow because the ref was one of those attention seekers who played the advantage but had to show the yellow afterwards just to say look at me yes I saw it and I played the advantage.
Think tank
Knew it was coming. Don’t think it is particularly a bad thing, gives Luongo the opportunity!

Prefer Hutch in away games generally but we should be far more on the front foot at home to Wigan and Luongo looks like he has more ability to produce a pass in the final third & travel forward with the ball so should be a good game for him. Bing Cosby
Silly challenge that he didn't need to make, gave the ref the opportunity to book him.

S63 Owl
Perfect chance for Luongo to show us what he can do.

No disrespect to hutch but we really need to sort our midfield, so inconsistent, no game domination, not sure of the answer, just gutted about tonight. Holmowl
Thought he had a very poor game tonight. Lets hope Massimo shines.
McRightSide
He was late and it was a bit of a hack. Definite yellow. Ill-disciplined rather than poor refereeing
Beauchief Owl
Thank goodness Borner didn't pick up his fifth yellow, harder to replace than Hutch. Don't mind Luongo getting a start this Saturday, Hutch is always likely to pick up a card or an injury.
striker
Not too concerned, wanted to have a look at Luongo anyway. I did think all the yellows were a bit soft, Harris for example, the ref pointed to one previous foul, neither of which particularly bad. So if the standard for that ref is two mistimed tackles over the course of a game = yellow, very harsh.

TodwickOwl
He probably went out to get the yellow after thinking about it - it was a needless foul, but better for him to miss Wigan Luongo needs to show his worth now - That centre pairing needs a reshuffle
torryowl
If your going to miss a game thru suspension then Wigan at home is the one youd want . ..shame that borner didn't get one as well if he's on
WalthamOwl
Hopefully a change for Luongo to come in and put in an impressive performance. Would like to see him and possibly Lee start on Saturday.
Ronnie Starling
Yet again our midfield goes missing. It needs a big shake up and I hope Luongo now steps up and makes the position his.

Absolutely, poor decision....but still much rather that than have the game stifled by VAR. It cost us last night, but we've had our fair share the other way. I'm not one for sanitizing football.
