He knows this league inside out, and has a decent record at this level. We could of done far, far worse. Onwards and upwards. As I said at the time, what’s not to like ? I thought it would be all sitting really deep and allowing teams to play in front of two banks of 4. So far (except perhaps spells against fulham) weve got the ball back quickly and rather than invite pressure weve got the ball forward straight away. I hope monk continues to prove me wrong. Holmowl
It looks like Monk is not one for sitting back on a lead. Watch Odubajo in the extended highlights. 3-1 up away to a fancied side and our RB sprints 70 yards imploring Westwood to find him. Great at to see attacking football encouraged. Equally great to see Odubajo’s attitude.

Owls-Fan
Interesting the Quest commentator saying how Woodgate said Monk didn’t talk much during his time at Boro and was an elusive character. It doesn’t seem to have harmed the results of his sides too much if that’s true. Maybe Monk didn’t really want to be at Boro.. and who could blame him

I assume he thinks that should be more than enough for the players.

fpowl
Experience is only a good thing if you use it effectively Monk keeps setting us up differently and getting the results he calls is simple and it’s effective I didn’t think Bruce could be replaced I’m all in with Monk now I’m ok with him being our manager for the next 10 years plus even if become that premier league yo-yo club for a while my guess is Monk will have us promoted in the next two seasons
