Not that long ago either that they brought in chuffing Alvaro Negredo on £100k a week and Victor Valdes who won't have been cheap. That was not the best of times to be optimistic about watching the Owls away. In 1973 whilst working for a time in London I was able to see us play QPR. However, he has never scored at the Riverside - all six of his Boro goals were in away games - and he's never scored against Middlesbrough. I admire Gibson for persisting with this Sh!thole of a place. But I suspect deep down he's a bit frustrated with it all. As the Lord says, he's invested all of that money and look where they are.
