Benfica want Reach

Recommended Posts

If this is true, can the club please learn from mistakes made consistently over about 2 decades and sell high please.

No doubt we'll get a high offer, people will moan about being a 'selling club', we'll wind his contract down, he'll go for nothing and then later on be the first £1bn player and wins England the WC and the Ashes for some reason.

The stir taking a very old story from a few weeks ago and running with it, looks like the standard of journalism has got a new low.

The benfica manager used to be our coach under carlos, he made an inquiry a month or so ago the club said no.

This is another nothing story by our very useless local paper.

Gone are the days of the Greenun when the journalist attended the games and spoke with the club to get information. Now they just trawl the internet for old stories.

Loved the Green’un

Reports today saying Benfica had a £10m+ offer for Reach turned down in the summer and are preparing a further bid in January.

Could we get more than £10m for a player touted on here as a future England left winger?

Touted by some on here as rubbish and poor defensively.  Personally think he is the best player we have. If played in his correct position he could well be worth more than 10 million in todays crazy transfer market.

Thats right. One asset only.

Oh, and crossing, stamina, energy, speed over 50 yards, goals and attitude.

What energy and how many goals have we seen in 2019 ? Little to nothing . He’s okay but there are far better in his position (whatever his position is) if somebody is offering decent money cash in without a second thought

He’s been really poor throughout 2019. He’s not awful but he’s weak and drifts and and out of games . I wouldn’t miss him if he departed and not would the team imo

8 goals and 7 assists last season. 4 goals and 11 assists the year before. The team would certainly miss him if he left.

Again what’s he contributed in 2019 ? Very little . It’s not a slag off reach statement , but he’s average and could easily be replaced if somebody is going to offer silly money

Personally thought he was effective second half of last season. Not started particularly well this year but we are only 7 games into the season. If he stays I've no doubt he will be one of our best players over the course of the season.

Yes every player has his price and if we were offered silly money we'd have to take it. Strongly disagree that he would be easy to replace though.
