Even if Wednesday wasn't happening, better clubs than Dudders was on the cards. Money talks. Apparently Cowley was on £140k a year at Lincoln and Udders offered over £1m. What a career disaster They offered him the postion of head coach,so he declined the offer,he wanted the role to be club manager,so they revised their offer and he got what he wanted, maybe hes some control freak...... That's going rate for a championship job, though.
nevthelodgemoorowl
St Paul had a stop over at Gozo in the Med on his way to bless Huddersfield as the only team never to have been beaten. More than 2,000 years later Hudders long unbeaten run is still in tact.

There is absolutely no way that the Cowley's combined salary will be over £1m, never mind £1M just for Danny. @Socialist_Owl. The reason they accepted the role at Udders is because Danny was eventually offered the role of Manager, and not First Team Coach. He want's to put his philosophy across the entire club, which he couldn't do under the remit of First Team Coach, which was the original job he\they were offered. This has now been confirmed by Sky themselves. Money certainly wasn't an issue. AFAIK, we spoke with them both, spoke with Garry and then decided on the latter. Jon Newsome
Losing culture there is going to be hard to break, not turned a game around from a losing position since 2016, absolutely devoid of any confidence and the players they brought in summer of 2018 before their second premier season has killed them. 20 million for lads like that Diakabhy and Mbenza who don't look any good at this level even. Not many players left from their promotion winning side either. I think they'll do a Sunderland/Wolves.
