U18's vs Coventry today

Recommended Posts

Anyone seen "new" players Bonnington and Glover play ? Seems that they are only ones from this year bunch to be considered as starting 11 players.

Btw. What to say regarding OS again ?! 5'th game of the season and they couldn't be bothered to update U-18's players profiles. Disgrace...

Yeah, a bit shabby. Think Coventry are good at youth level, so that’s a mightily impressive performance

Goals up here

Anyone know much about Lewis Farmer?

Excellent technique in creating the 3rd, then a Ronaldo chop and cracking finish with his left foot for the 4th, not bad for a right back!

Energetic, mobile and tidy on the ball. Played most of last season as central midfielder, sometimes even used wide right. Before this season I didn't even know that he can fill in at right back.

It is interesting that this year we are playing both full-backs from  last season (Thompson and Ellery) as central defenders, pulled Farmer to play right back, and gave Oliver (who played very little last year) chance at left-back.

But, what a goal from Farmer !!! Fantastic !

That is a cracking goal. Scored another spectacular left footer against Millwall a few weeks ago.

To answer about Glover and Bonnington. Saw them a few times last season.

Glover - U16's captain from last year. Central midfielder who links up play. Always shows for the ball and has an excellent work rate.

Bonnington -  Scored regularly for 16's last season. Got to be six foot tall. Name keeps coming up online. Scored 2 or 3 already for 18's

Do you know the line up for the previous weeks game? The match report on the official site didn't show it.

If I remember right, someone put it on here. Not sure, but I think we filled same starting 11.

But then again Youth Hawker is guy to ask.

Too early in the season to pay too much attention to the table

But our U18s should gain confidence from a solid start and go into the next game with their tails up

... which is Crewe at home, next Sat'dy
