I'm fed up of us poncing around with full backs being changed each week trying to find the right fit ... so let's bin em all and go 3-5-2. Harris and Reach can run the lines to help out when defending and Luongo can drop in between the CB's for them to go wider towards the FB positions.

Also gives us a 3 man middle and the outlet for the long ball upfront if we're under pressure. Nuhiu can gel with Fletcher and they can hold the ball up to lay off to wingers or midfielders running past them. Let's give other teams a headache rather than us always trying to adapt to nullifying them.

Nice!

I would play this and wallop it up there, none of this tip tap nonsense !

Ferdinand/Vidic....Ferdinand/Terry....Ferdinand/Woodgate.....Adams/Bould/Keown.....Puyol/Pique.....all right foot partnerships and there’s many more...

Which part of necessity did you not understand? Also all your suggestions are right footed players. Left footed players NEVER play on the right. Left footed players have no choice but to play on the left.

We’d get battered with this. Harris and Reach can’t defend. You do realize that especially away from home they would be wing backs who are mainly defending in this formation, right??

And we haven't been battered this season? QPR ran rings around us

Yes on a 4-4-2. 4-3-3 is the best formation for us, just need to get the best players for the formation.

Why people are touting Fox for LB role when Palmer and Iorfa are fit.  One of the main drivers of the excellent start we had was Palmer at LB, up and down wing, getting Harris good ball, cutting in and causing problems.  He came out of the side due to injury and IMO gives us a different dimension.  Fox is OK, decent defender, but lost the ball leading to QPR equaliser when Harris was wide open on the left and Fox somehow decided to come inside and overran the ball giving them possession.

I'm hoping for a 3 man midfield with Luongo featuring.  Back 4 of Iorfa, Bates, Borner, Palmer.  Both Odjob and Fox have made mistakes leading directly to goals so need to stay on bench.
