Brum fans views on Monk

Recommended Posts

Usually quite telling, reading the views of the fans from the team a manager was recently sacked by.

Man City manager, can't see him coming here really.

Certainly not as assistant manager has to be joint manager surely?

Most managers get sacked in football and usually for underperforming at some stage, so fans views can be negative.

Im related to Brighton fans and they aren’t that positive about Hughton anymore as for the last year they watched defensive football.  No matter that he got them promoted to the top league after 30 years away.

Boro fans are negative about all ex-managers, Monk, Pulis etc. It’s because they still think they should be a PL club despite being tinpot. It happens

Boro were 8th when they sacked Monk, a day before Carlos walked.  Our fan base was gutted Boro went and got Pulis at that time.

We we were using the old, if Boro can sack Monk and their in 8th argument at the time, and they can see Pulis is available sonhave gone for a tried and trusted champ manager.

Now some are using the old — need to gamble on young untried manager argument over appointing and experienced manager be that Pulis or Monk.

Not easy running a club.

Take a look at the Swansea forum... they take a very different opinion.

Yeah and look what happened to them after he left, be careful what you wish for springs to mind. Also the Leeds fans have the same view of the Birmingham fans regarding Monk whilst he was there.

You never know - Monk & Bullen could work. At the very least it sounds like a sh*te 90’s cop drama.

If only Turner had teamed up with Hooch. What might’ve been.
