Fletcher and Rhodes

Recommended Posts

It's not the tactics fault that Rhodes is not performing, He just isn't producing the goods. Fletch, Harris, Murphy and a long list of others are. He needs to look at Reach who is asked to play a range of different roles and adapts for the team. You can't just expect to play 1 role in football. If Rhodes wants to succeed he needs to take his chances in the side, like last night. end of.

This is true, but with what you have seen would you not rather try get him to be the player he was than Rhodes ? Forestieri can create and score where as Rhodes depends on others to get him goals.

To be honest I'd like them both to be the players they were 4 years ago. It's a shame they are both the way they are, They really should both be at their peak Rhodes is 29, should still be as fit as a fiddle and have that wise head on his shoulders that comes with experience.FF is same age so all the above applies to him.

It looks like their heads aren't right. Pity because with both back to the best we would get automatic promotion. How you get your head out of whack with the money they are on defeats me.

The only way Rhodes will start to score regularly is if we play him regularly alongside a target man. We saw glimpses of this in pre-season. Unfortunately since the competitive stuff started, the karaoke bar manager has decided to go with Fletcher up top on his own?

The problem for Bullen is Jr has been pretty useless up top to be honest for us,even in a 4-4-2.

This 4-3-3 /4-5-1 system suits the majority of our players.

Bannan- Needs to be in a three or out wide. Harris & Murphy and Nando are natural wingers not wide midfielders.

Fletcher spent years at Sunderland and wolves playing as the lone target man.

Tom Lees is a back four defender.

Why not try Fletcher and Rhodes up front together. Fletcher by himself does to provide enough goals but he could be the perfect foil for Rhodes. Combine that with pace and supply from the wings and it could work... Certainly worth and try and looked promising in pre-season.

If we are to have a successful season, we need to work out where the goals are going to come from and how we get the best out of the bunch of strikers we have. Seems an obvious place to start.

If we are going to have a successful season, Rhodes shouldn't even be in the squad.

Don't think it's a bad shout at home.

Not 4-4-2 though.  Would go with a 4-3-1-2, and give Kadeem Harris a free role off the front 2 where he can attack either wing and keep the 3 center midfielders along lines of

Westwood

Iorfa borner lees Palmer

Lee Hutchinson bannan

   Harris

Fletcher Rhodes
