TrickyTrev
We should just ban away fans from Hillsborough or greatly limit allocations to a 1000 maximum.

The police have the resources to police Hillsborough to the clubs demands. We are their customer and they should be bending over backwards to facilitate our needs. Not whinging and moaning. The police, SAG and the Council should remember they work for us, we are not their subjects. Somewhere along the way it seems the tables have been turned and we are now at their behest. No away supporters on Leppings Lane. Then see what they have to say. I would seriously call what they are doing discrimination. How can one club out of two in the same City, where both have grounds with exits that fans merge with each other (Just like every other ground in the country), keep being penalised when the other doesn't. I would love to be able to agree with you but it seems we are on dodgy ground right now The authorities firmly have us in their sights It would be easy to carry out what I suggested and put us back in the driving seat, ideally we then build on that on our terms Swallow the pill for now
Castleford Owl
There’s one question that needs putting to these feckwits: ”What has changed in recent times (considering we’ve hosted the Euros and numerous full capacity games since the disaster) that suddenly warrants the need to knock off 20 per cent of the ground’s capacity and force more fans through less exits?” I bet none of them could genuinely answer that. The answer, of course, is **** all - apart from misplaced blame.
TrickyTrev
Just now, Mycroft said: You opinion, in my opinion is giving in to SAG etc. SYP have made their minds up that the club and fans are to blame for their own incompetence (where have we heard that before). The council have made up their minds that this stupid report is correct and the problem lies with the club and the fans. The club are in my opinion going to have to find a solution to all of this. The police have said they can’t keep away fans back due to the size of the concourse on the away end, so either ban away fans or greatly reduce their numbers, perhaps sticking them in the West Stand Lower. If it’s the fans who are going to be inconvenienced by all of this, I’d sooner it be fans of other clubs than trying to shepherd 3 entire stands of Wednesday fans out onto a duel carriageway at the same time. Don't get me wrong, this whole problem has stemmed entirely from useless policing after the Sheffield Derby, fans have been going out from the North Stand onto Leppings Lane without any real incident but the powers that be have made their minds up and I fear they are too arrogant to take a look into the mirror at their own failings. Sadly I agree that they have us in their sights and waving the flag of health and safety (which I'm strongly in favour of) they will have their way. Have a horrible feeling there is more to this than meets the eye. And it's not H&S. That's just a guise.
horny owl
Sheffield council, SYP and SAG have definitely got an agenda against Sheffield Wednesday. And here is the proof If Wednesday limit the amount of away fans to 500 nothing will change and they’ll still penalise us If Wednesday offer to hold away fans back 15 minutes after the game nothing will change and they’ll still penalise us If Wednesday point out to them that ours is only our club that have to endure this level of persecution nothing will change and they’ll still penalise us It won’t matter what Wednesday do they’ll find ANY excuse to penalise us The corrupt jobsworths have got it in for us and they won’t stop Meanwhile every other club gets away with these useless, faceless, agenda driven lobbers trying everything the can to ruin their business because there’s only one club in their sights and that club is Sheffield Wednesday Edited August 21, 2019 by horny owl
bradowl
Just watching Fulham go 1-0 up v Millwall, stand behind goal has got Fulham fans in one half and Millwall in other with a line of stewards between fans, anyone who knows that stand will know that all supporters enter and exit together going out on to one road at side of ground, you can't exit at other end unless you can swim Thames, that stand holds around 7,000. Sounds reasonable. If numbers of people are the problem, why punish our own with ticket restrictions in the north? Reduce away allocations. Sit them in the bottom tier, hold them back & sell the top to our fans. Exactly how it works at S2. Do SAG know where S2 is?
