9 out of 12? Could argue 10 or 12 would be better especially given the teams we have played

No

9 will do

Not a great performance but 3 points.

Positives are Harris, Borner and Luongo.

Cheers SB

Also thought Fox had a decent game.

Good to see Fox getting a few plaudits, did well again tonight. If we are going to play with two outright wingers, then Fox and Palmer are our best two full backs

9 points from 4 games and 2 goals conceded.

Need more of a goal threat but with Forestieri, Fletcher, Winnall, Rhodes and Nuhiu you'd hope we have enough if we can keep the shutouts going until January.

Well done Wednesday!

100% record is unrealistic no matter who you're playing in the Championship. The only team that's looked truly awful so far has been Stoke, and they could still be a threat by the end of the season.

Just shows what a good job Bullen is doing then, to have a mid table team, top of the pile, pretty good eh

Easy start better teams will hammer us on that performance and until he stops trying to shoe horn reach into the team

Think I was a tad ambitious with my 6 nil pre match prediction. lol saying that will take winning ugly all day long.

Why's that then? Do you know how it'll pan out for those teams?

Good 3 points tonight. We were very sluggish in the 1st half, and apart from feeding Harris, looked bereft of ideas.

2nd half we upped the tempo, pressed high like we did against Barnsley and forced them into mistakes.

Borner seems to be really coming good, Luongo looks desperate for a start, Murphy came into the game more after the goal.

A special mention for Fox, who's had dogs abuse on here, and in the stands previously, made a fantastic block near the end and had a great 2nd half.

Was not pretty, massive well done to Fox and M.O.M Boner

If I’m honest I didn’t enjoy that, although some improvement in 2nd half.  Turns out Luton were pretty poor, trying to play in a way their players were not good enough to handle, but really didn’t think Owls looked a lot better. Borner MoM by some distance.

Lucky escape tonight, but let’s not paper over the cracks here. We were woeful tonight and even with a better second half we’ve made Luton look like world beaters.

Great that we can win ugly, but that team should have enough pace and creativity in it to put these teams away without scruffy goals winning it for us.

Bullen really needs to have a think about what to do with Reach. Can’t keep playing him in this position. I rate Reach but doesn’t look good playing in the centre.

And there you have it, only on Owlstalk.

Another home win, clean sheet, currently top of the table, with the best start in god knows how many years, and the comments about a mid table team beating a relegation team, I fu**ing despair.

What is it that a lot of you want ? 6-0 strolls every game ?

Put aside your indifference to Bullen, team selection, choice of substitutes etc, it is points on the board, something it usually takes us till October to achieve.

Dont let it get to you. Some folk on here could be in bed with 6 Playboy playmates and grumble that someone had left big light on.

Much better second half but I’m definitely not going to get carried away. We are certainly capable of a top 6 place this season but we must improve on that tonight. Anyway 9 points from 12 is excellent even though it’s been against lower team opposition.

We were pretty crap tonight against a team that hasn’t won but....

Luton have had a tough start so not surprising....

and if you look at the results everyone is beating each other, we may not need to be world beaters to go up this season.

FT.  1-0

Wednesday win.  Get in.

Played much better in the second half.  But overall we weren't at the races for most of that game.  An ugly game, but we got the win in the end.  Three huge points, a clean sheet and top of the table.

Last game we played well and lost, tonight we weren't great but won.  That's football.

Standout performers for me were Harris and Morgan Fox.  Both players were fantastic tonight.  Hutchinson got more involved in the second half, and put some good challenges in.  Fletch put a shift in up top.  Didn't have it easy all night but still battled on.  And final mention to Borner.  Didn't put a foot wrong tonight.  Already looking calm and composed.

We will need to play much better going into the next game at Preston.  They haven't had a good start, so I'm confident we can go there and win.

Have a nice evening all.

Onwards and upwards
