Westwood Odubajo Lees Borner Palmer Forestieri Bannan Hutchinson Reach Harris Rhodes Iorfa didn’t do enough to take the shirt off Odubajo Lee shouldn’t play Sat Tues Sat yet Surely FF must start unless he’s blotted his copybook with Bully and the big ? Rhodes v Fletch? Not worth risking Fletcher’s season for one game. Subs Dawson Iorfa Fletcher Murphy Luongo Lee I think a straight swap of Bannan for Lee. Maybe put Murphy to bench too but Lee is certainly due a rest.

I was surprised he started yesterday with the other options we now have in midfield. I think resting Lee is an opportunity to drop the midfield three and go 442 with Rhodes / Fletcher or Rhodes / Nuhiu up front. Hutchinson also shouldn't be playing every game with his injury record. Bannan and Reach in midfield for me, plenty of running for the opposition to worry about, and let the back four do the defending. Let's go for a 5-4 win getting the ball out wide to create chances from there. You have nothing to lose Lee Bullen

Midweek fixtures are where our larger squad should become an advantage. And I'm not suggesting you play the entire second string on a Tuesday night either, that would be foolish. Some of the older players, with injury records, should have been rested yesterday or should be rested next weekend. Maybe Bannan not starting yesterday was an example of this. FreshOwl
Murphy is 24, has proved he can do it in this league and went for a hefty price tag not long ago. You don’t just drop him after one cagey performance I’d play the same team we played against Barnsley, but with bannan coming back in for the rested Lee Edited August 18, 2019 by FreshOwl

Yes left better but more down to harris imo, right could be at least as good with moses supporting a winger tho, iorfas a natural cb. Unlikely but if ff came in for murphy he could play on right with harris staying left, but thought ff probably a better finisher who will naturally drift into no10 when apt and harris pacier for byline on favoured right foot. Nothing wrong with swapping wingers after 25mins tho to give fb's a different problem! We've got a strong squad so should probably use it to keep it fresh, especially with these midweek games and nobody should be guaranteed a start imo

We've got so many options as striker we need to be playing two up front in my opinion. Changing the first team, utilising the squad should keep the opposition guessing too. We can't assume Luton will play exactly as they did in the last game either. We should concentrate on what we can do too attack teams and create chances. HirstWhoScoredIt
Keeper and back four picks itself Westwood odubajo Lees Borner Palmer The midfield is difficult for us to pick without speaking to the players and medical staff. is Bannan 100%? can Lee Play again? Is it wise with Hutch? On balance, we need Lee and Hutch fit for the season. We’ll certainly need Hutch for Preston. I think I’d rest both of them. Therefore Reach and Bannan in the centre for me, with a throw up between Pelepussy and playing Luongo slightly out of position. Round pegs and round holes, I’d go for Pelepussy. I’d stick with Murphy, he needs matches and I’ve already made 4 changes. So Murphy and Harris out wide. For similar reasons to Hutch I’d swap Fletch with Rhodes and pray that Rhodes takes his chance. so in summary:- Westwood Odubajo Lees Borner Palmer Reach Pelepussy Bannan Murphy Rhodes Harris subs:- Dawson Iorfa Hutch Luongo Forestieri Nuhiu Fletcher Edited August 18, 2019 by HirstWhoScoredIt
0114
I’d like us to go back to the 442 that worked so well at the end of last season, but still imagine it’ll be a 433.
