High press - Iorfa cb?

With more energy in the side there's signs we may be pressing higher, with forwards pushing up but also midfielders and the defensive line too to plug the gaps.

Whilst lees and borner have started well against potentially lower half sides and will rightly keep their shirts for now, they're not the quickest and against pacy central forwards and strikers they could be vulnerable, especially in a higher line.

When we had des walker we could hold a higher line which beneffited the team so iorfa could be a better option at cb than rb imo, apparently he prefers cb anyway and moses looks promising at rb.

Theres the question of reach and moses not being guaranteed starts but that could also apply to lees or borner too, especially with bates signing, though not sure if he has as much pace as iorfa.

With iorfas pace and gangly legs for tackles and blocks etc he could be a top cb at this level imo.

Great to have such competition and options anyway, would like to think nobodys guaranteed a start anymore depending on form and opponents.

With 2 quality proper wingers too it's pretty exciting times!

Im one of those that remember him mentioning in his interview when he signed saying he was a CB by trade and that's where he wanted to be.

For me the reason successively he's been played at rb is he's not yet ready to move inside full time.

His positional sense and concentration level wanders and drops during games..

You can cover it at full back, but at cb you get punished..

Whist I do believe that's where hell probably be destined to play, he needs to show consisancy and better judgment on a regular basis.

The blokes a centre half, built perfectly for it. Just needs to work on his discipline a bit and play with more of a level head. That’ll come in time as he matures. Due big things from him I’m predicting

Reckless challenge got him suspended so can’t just walk back into the team, and certainly not at centre back where a decent partnership is developing.

Think Bully will make him wait fo a chance to reclaim rt back spot.

Could say same for Westwood then but guaranteed 95 % of fans say he should go straight back into the team

Dawson played 2  ,2 cleansheets

Westwood play 1 ,0 cleansheets 1 redcard

Big difference between a one game ban and a three game ban, but I wouldn’t be too worried about Dawson keeping his place. His performance on Saturday was good enough and he will only improve further if given game time.
