Premier League 2019/20

Recommended Posts

This is a moveable feast and it's a complete mess

Some players are flat are refusing to go back to their clubs - which is just one of many reasons there is still no consensus of a plan to restart football

Disinfecting football pitches ffs!

And the authorities think this is reasonable?

What is the worst that can happen ?

  •  Players walk out on their clubs as contracts run down.
  •  Litigation against premier clubs for unfulfilled contract obligations.
  •  ditto re premier league.
  •  Vultures Spain, Italy, France & Germany start circling in the Sky.
  •  Top players keep their powder dry prior to swooping on of those above.
  •  EFL top enders swooped on by Premier Clubs.
  •  Anarchy in the EU Football world.

Of course this could be a dream or it could be a nightmare. I don't think it's going to end well !

I think both UTD and Newcastle have 10 players or so who are either on loan or out of contract at the end of June

how do they go on if the loan players want to return to their clubs and the out of contract players, who aren't going to be kept on, don't want to play.

they could both be down to using under 23 players

wouldn't bother me if they both had to, but it is still unfair on both clubs

For now, is this just England, if so do the welsh teams have to play home games outside Wales as they have different rules

Not sure mate. I just quoted the headline off the BBC website when it appeared yesterday. Wouldn't surprise me if they hadn't even considered your point though!

Troy Deeney has come out and said he won’t play if football starts in June.

He’s bang on and getting so much grief over it which I don’t understand. Why should he? Hardly an essential service is it?

Shameful that if football returns players can get three tests a week but frontline workers still can’t. Out of principal they shouldn’t play.

.  Players and staff had had zero reason to travel, go out, work, socialize, mingle with anyone except in their own house.

How are they testing positive?

Clearly there's been a lax understanding of what constitutes "STAY AT HOME"???

They may have people within their household (Son/Daughter) who are key workers and are having to go to work and then come back into the home.

I'd completely understand that anywhere outside of the rarefied air of PL employment.

Whilst not one for defending the honour of premier league players some have been volunteering in the community, our very own loan PL player Murphy was delivering food parcels , so it’s not beyond the realms of possibility they could have picked it up.

Also I’m pretty sure they have to eat so food deliveries could have also been contaminated

Wow

Why shouldn't they go out to exercise and go for a walk for good of their mental health? Have a social distanced chat while doing so.

Why shouldn't go to the shops?

Shouldnt help drop food to vulnerable people? Or carry out messages for them?

Infact the idea they shouldn't socialize cause they are footballers is mindblowing

They should stay cooped up to the detriment of their mental health

flipping nonsense

Take the proper precautions.  Avoid going outside and mask up if you absolutely have to.

Beggars belief.  You should NOT be socializing right now!!!!

And give me a break if you think footballers are adhering.  Most people aren't.
