Conclusion - SWFC v SUFC 04/03/19

A large weight can be placed on poor fan behaviour and the additional tension and crowd reactions found at local derbies, to the areas and Figures highlighted in this section, but other factors discussed here play a significant part in the events seen.

It has been detailed about the location of the coaches and the effect it has had on the crowd flow and this should be not underestimated but other factors need to be considered. Two of the main points under consideration need to be looked at; namely the potential for a “Holdback” of away fans to prevent both teams leaving at the same time, but also the change in egress direction for the home fans leaving the North Stand.

I cant be arsed to read the full report

but at any point  does it address the moving of the fixture and potential problems that new dates and times may bring?

No - just that we don't want any personal details of any of the SAG people on here - whether they're in the public domain or not

It's never a good idea

They need naming and shaming.

It's time some light was shone on their other agendas.

No

The bottom line is this :

Conclusion and Recommendations

From the analysis and detail provided in this document it is apparent that a number of factors need to be addressed and considered for the continued safety of fixtures and events at Hillsborough Stadium. A number of these points are linked and reliant on a change in behaviours and considerations, particularly in egress from the stadium. Further analysis is advisable, particularly around total egress numbers and detailed accurate spatial measurements to ensure the figures presented accurately present the “real live” event.

Throughout the document a number of recommendations and considerations have been mentioned and noted;

These are detailed as follows:

 Recommended egress for home fans towards the East and not in its current format (That being towards Leppings Lane).

 A consideration to holdback is not advisable in its current format due to lack of available and safe space and time spent in the particular environment.

 Should the recommendation around home egress be accepted then the external design and available spaces, coach park etc… can be safely implemented.

The official report. I tried to read it impartiality and there’s some interesting facts and stats but also some glaring omissions. Apologies if already posted.

The report is saying that it's not recommended to hold the away fans back from exiting for 15 minutes due to the state of the West Stand and it's lack of safe space to hold fans in

No there won't be. This is an issue plucked out of thin air and is just another nail in the Hillsborough coffin. The sooner Hillsborough ceases to exist, the better for SAG and SYP. It fu.ckin stinks and the wan.kers need to feel some resistance. We're been walked all over.

The main thing for me is that the report is almost entirely based on information provided to MMU surrounding the last Sheffield derby - fixture - a fixture that SYP received a fair amount of criticism for from both sets of supporters due to their approach. There is also a small amount of information from the game against Aston Villa.

Is this a fair basis on which to make such wholesale changes given that the vast majority of games in recent years have passed without any reported significant incidents in the Leppings Lane area?

Just an idea would it help if the club let some of the fans exit the north stand by walking around the pitch and exit via Tango corner and the South stand?

Might lessen the traffic at the back of north stand.

I suppose getting the announcer to tell away fans to stay in their seats is out of the question

So, you simply place stewards on the exits from the stand and say stay where you are.

What's the matter are they frightened that they might get some objections?

I know, why not just let fans leave at the same time?

Round and round it goes.

There is nothing in the report really regarding how well policed the United game was, despite the whole report being based on that game

This may well be where the court proceedings come in.

Conclusions drawn on one report which has not addressed all 'parties'.

It's a fu.ckin joke mate. Blame Hillsborough for everything that goes wrong when the truth is that we've got the most inept police force in the land and SAG ar a fu.ckin disgrace.

I would also be questioning the impartiality of the Head of Licensing.
