Quite pleased with the incomings but would have liked to see one or two more of the fringe players departing.

Would also have liked to see more of the youngsters loaned out & benefitting from some lower league experience.

League 1 and 2 windows still open. Does this mean we still have options to loan to lower leagues. This is meant as a serious question. I don’t know the answer.

All the players brought in seem to hold good stock and there is pace there now. Bates may turn out to be a pleasant Suprise. Noticed he is a big chap like Hector. 6 foot 4. As well as the new guys we resigned Westwood, Palmer, and Lee. And the Bruce compo and Joao money will keep us quids in. Yes we are somewhat one dimensional up front but we still have plenty of goals in the records. The challenge must go out to all the strikers. Hoping the new pace and hopeful quality can ignite Rhodes and Winnall. Winnall at Barnsley got goals with service and Rhodes relishes the same.

How can you rate players without seeing them ?

I think we have had a good go at what we need , a left back would have made a big difference,

IMO the main position to upgrade .

A fair few of our new signings have plenty of Championship experience and will have been seen a few times by our fans at this level.

Besides, it's not just about rating the players individually, it's about the business we have done as a whole.

When the full-time whistle went against QPR, If you'd have offered me renewing Westwood, Palmer and Lee - and having Lee up and running to start the season, letting the dead-weights go and bringing in Odubajo, Murphy, Luongo and Harris along with a couple more defensive options I'd have happily taken that.

Looking at the video of Murphy he could get Rhodes back in the scoring charts , he loves an early cross to get on the end of

Hard to work out what the Joao transfer was all about. Saw it as a way of getting the Hector fee down. For me he was top whack £4 million. And that's pushing it over a bit. If Chelsea were holding out for £5 million minus the 20% sell on then their original valuation was £6 million. Madness. Hope they get peanuts now. Joao must have been given incentives to fancy the move also. Think we've done the best we can. Now it's a challenge to the squad. The names and good stock seem to be in place. These other loans might be used in January if shortfalls stand apparant.

6.5. Still need a left back, missed out on Hector and, if we are going as it seems with one up front, then we need more pace in that position; Nuihu, Rhodes and Winnall as back up to Fletcher means we are one paced in that area.

10 if we had got a premier loan lb instead of a cb and a 20+ goal modern striker with rhodes out for 4m+

But probably 7 due to getting a cm and winger with even more cb cover, expected a lot less with no proper manager tho!

6 missed the most important signing of all experiencied capable manager.

Yes, because these signing were on a list compiled by an experienced, capable, if treacherous manager.

It makes you wonder what might have been had Fatso stayed.
