RUMBELOWS91
I think Bullen is.now a strong favourite for the job and 4-3-3 seems to be his preferred formation. So, assuming Hector signs and that's the end of our business, what's out strongest side when everyone is fit and firing? Westwood Iorfa Lees Hector Odubajo Hutch Lee Bannan Reach Fletcher Harris That leaves as back ups .. . Dawson Palmer Borner Thorniley Fox Pulupessey ----------- ----------- -------- Nuhiu/Winnall/Rhodes FF So still a little heavy on central strikers and in need of another ball player in midfield and a right sided forward. Reach can drop into a 3 if we lose Lee or Bannan, but we are extremely threadbare in that department. You can see why we looked at getting Onomah back. Do we think FF could play on the right? He had a brief fun there v Espanyol.
EcclesallOwl
Odubajo Hector Borner Palmer That back four, agree with the rest. Would like Forestieri in there but can only see him working on the left and currently like the look of Harris there. FF did play on the right against Espanyol but spent most of his time wandering to the left and leaving no one on the right. Night King
Decent starting 11 but not enough cover in central midfield for 2 players that have missed the majority of the past couple of seasons. Need cover on the wings too. This highlights how important important it is to shift at least one of the centre forwards out,
Kopparberg
We really do need another CM. If we don’t get one we would have to put Reach in there, or Palmer or Hector at an absolute push.
Bouncing Owl
If we only get 1 central midfielder, I’d like one that can do a bit of everything and can also play in a 2 in case of a formation switch. But surely, this needs to be a priority to bring in 1 minimum

Dutch McLovin
Hector can’t be the end of our business tomorrow a cm is a must.
Owls2k
If Bullen avoids another Burton Albion debacle he has a chance of getting it.

Some want Rowett, his Derby side were also turned over by 2nd bottom Burton Albion later that year. (Though they only lost 3-1) But looking at it on the bright side, Jos would join us not long after. Rev Owl
Could Hector be the midfield beast everyone's been on about?
bigash_swfc
I watched the game back today. We made like one attack down the right side. Expecting a little more from Reach and Odubajo against Barnsley.
Lord Snooty
Westwood Dawson Odubajo Lees Hector Palmer Iorfa iorfa Borner Fox Thorniley Penney Hutchinson Pelupessy *Hector Lee Bannan *Grant *Reach Reach Fletcher Harris *Forestieri Rhodes Forestieri Winnall The slots that Lee and Bannan occupy are the concern to me. Very short in that area.

Salmonbones
Although it's a very Jos like comment, Alex Hunt and Connor Kirby - I take it they aren't close enough to making a step up in midfield?
swfcGibbo
Ideally we'd sign a left back, central midfielder, Hector and someone else for wide right/left. That would give us the balance and cover we need. This is assuming Rhodes is sold. I would personally have Odubajo further up the field as a wide right/left option. He had decent success earlier in his career further forward.

Borner, Moses And Thorniley to push hard for a defensive role. Joey as modest cover for a CM. Reach as excellent cover for a CM. FF killing himself to replace Reach or Harris, but anyway these three sharing the entire season in the two wide roles would be superb. Striker is our weakest area for depth. Hopefully Fletch can play ~ 3000 of the 4100 minutes of our league season, with Nuhiu and Rhodes as cover. All in all I think it looks good. Really looked dangerous with Harris going inside and out, and Bannan and Palmer wanting to go forward. There were promising signs that Reach and Lee will link really well up the right, but Moses was poor going forward. Early days for him, but the thought of Iorfa, Lee and Reach carrying us up the RW is really mouth-watering.

Alex Hunt has also started season particularly well. So we could have some young players pressing for games

As long as you remember he is one in a hundred you will be fine. When you list squad like that it does show wear we are thin. on resources. Did Bruce say he was looking for 4 or 6 recruits.
