Really cannot understand Chelski 's stance on this. He has never played for them ,and never will , and they seem happy lose him for nowt next summer and kerp psying his wages for sitting in the stands ,but stop him playing football in the meantime. Utterly bizarre policy from chelsea.

Let's see where we are in Jan. If we're midtable mediocre, we might as well try to have him sign a contract for next season and use the money for that.

We're not able to approach him with a pre-contract offer til May

Chelsea pay his wages till jan 25k a week? then in January sell for 2 million or loan him out for less .in mean time his fitness must have suffered as he aint had a pre season now he might get 1-2 games for u23s so he will be nowhere near match fit by January . poor business Chelsea .

Exactly. let's not confuse the club and the player. Chelsea stuck at £5m whilst letting David Luis go to Arsenal for £8m

I can understand Chewsea adding a surcharge to cover what they owe to Reading.

But if they'd loaned him to us until the end of the season then there would have been no sell-on fee to pay.
