Joao to Reading is close according to Dom

Be a bit gutted if Joao goes. Love Fletch but sometimes seems like he needs 20 chances to hit the onion bag. Joao one of those rare players who can pick one out from pretty much anywhere given the slightest whiff of a chance. Shame he’s so mercurial though, very frustrating player at times. Greatly improves us when he can be arsed. Better target man/holdup player than he gets credit for.

The club just cant win with some fans one minute they're saying we need to sell and squad needs updating then the next what are we selling him for cant have it both way. Yes there are other players that should go but no one has come in for the them so it is what it is, same with rhodes if does'nt want to be here get rid so lets move on and refresh the team, appoint a manager and get behind the team. That's coming from me mr negative

Strange one. Reading? He obviously wants to be first choice striker every game. It will be interesting to see if he steps up and adds consistency to his game.

Could be a very shrewd move by the 'Royals'. I hope there is a substantial sell on fee.

Meanwhile, Bullen needs to get Nuhiu off the chips and running through Greno Woods sharpish.  He looks slower and fatter than ever.

If he's going to be our 'off the bench' option to turn a game around it's a bit worrying.

Needed to shift someone on. Joao is a saleable asset. The reason we have stagnated is because we not done this type of deal in the past 3 seasons. Chansiri will have got us a good deal,m. Ideal world Nuhiu and Winnall go before him but that’s not how football works. Let’s see what the club have lined up for the rest of the week before spitting out dummies out. Also this blistering pace everyone claims Joao has is just not true is it? He’s the quickest striker we have no doubt but he’s not the pacey on the shoulder type of striker some fans are claiming him to be.

Did ok with Darkos sell-on fee back one the deep deep past lol

Well apart from ballsing that whole thing up over appearances with a very good european striker. If we have to go back nigh on 30 years to look for a good transfer deal that says it all

Disagree. Joao's best form came under Jos. His scoring record in 2018 was his peak here.  He scored 15 goals in 2018 under JL.

That's because he played week in week out...... Needs to play every week and he'd be a 20 goal man I reckon
