Joao to Reading is close according to Dom

5m is pretty low for a decent player at this level. We better get a decent sell on fee when he starts smashing them in for Reading every week and ends up in the prem.

5 million is not bad for a squad player

Guess this means we'll see Hector come back so that's a positive.

I think quite a few on here are going to be disappointed.

Personally I don't think we'll be bringing Hector back.

Lees is captain I can't see him being sold anytime soon.

Borner, we've not signed this guy to sit on his rear, he's a club captain and maybe he's come in as a cheap alternative.

Thornily is close, but I don't think quite ready for the pressure of starting every game when fit, hopefully next season.

We're also stuck with VanAbdi, maybe he can prove us wrong and actually get fit and look like a best of 200 cb.

Iorfa. When he signed, he was quoted as saying he's a cb by choice and that's where he'd prefer to play.

We've to very capeble rbs in palmer and Odubajo and extra back up with Baker.

Without including u23 prospects rice & Lee that's 5cbs on the books.

In short unless we manage to shift VanAkren I can't see us re-signing Hector as fantastic as he was last season for us.

I think we'll spend funds elsewhere like a specialist left back, maybe another winger or cm.

When was the last time we sold a player? We need to bring funds in to the club. I like Joao and he showed what a fantastic player he can be when he came on at the weekend. But he doesn’t do it enough and his mental application lets him down, big style.

How do you know it's not reading who dont want it disclosed

It always seems to be us. Heres a question, when was the last time you could actually sit back and think, "that was a great bit of business Wednesday", when we sold a player?

I'll be livid if the fee is undisclosed because that usually means we've been shafted (again).

As we've only sold one player in the Chansiri era .  How on earth have you come to that conclusion?

How many times did 3/4 different managers start João in a game..... when they did how often did he deliver, not often enough, that is why he is being sold. Managers can't trust him to consistently produce the goods. Just like Rhodes

The reality is that he is an impact sub, but at £3-8m that is a luxury we can't afford with FFP and we also have FF for that role. He has to go, which is a pity.... actually they both need to go

We dont need defenders i agree. We need another CM desperately, a winger and another striker if rhodes and joao go. Would also like to offload FF if we can.

The only thing Joao has proved consistently is his inconsistence.

He's an extremely talented boy, but successive managers have been unable to get him to kick on from his cameo performances. He'll light a game up from the bench and then start the next one on merit and not look arsed... Its beyond frustrating.

If we could afford to, he'd probably be best kept as an impact player, we may have decided that was the plan, but if the player has said he wants to leave then I'm afraid that forces the club's hand.

Get a decent fee, reinvest to balance to the squad and leave him to be an enigma for someone else.

If the deal is a good one, he can go fir me.

If your going to win promotion or finish top two you need a team with consistent performers who do the business week in week out. Players with the attitude of Lees, Lee, bannan and hutch.

Players that work hard, play as a team for each other and give it their best over a long hard season.

For me yes he's a talented player, I'll not call him a kid becouse he's not anymore, hes strong athletic good feet and an eye for goal. He has the ability to do something unexpected too.

The problem is his attitude and unless he addresses this he'll end up a bit player wherever he goes.
