Wonder if he loses his appeal whether the EFL might add on a couple of more games for a "spurious" appeal. Wouldn't put it past the sh*****ds.

They won't ban him more games. That would be cruel. I think the plan is that he'll start each match on a yellow card.

Wonder if it will take 18 months to hear it, and then totally ignore the fact that the evidence well short in court

Read Liverpools Firmino case on internet

Smacks of exact same situation in FF case yet

The FA added: “We took statements from a total of 12 players and officials from both teams, the match referee and the fourth official. None of these individuals directly heard the words alleged to have been said by Firmino. Firmino was formally interviewed by the FA and provided an alternative account to the words alleged by Holgate. Firmino stated that he had insulted the defender in Portuguese, but denied categorically using any discriminatory language towards him.

“As part of the investigation, the FA sought the assistance of a Brazilian/Portuguese linguistic specialist on the words alleged. In addition to this, we also obtained multiple angles of video footage, including broadcast and unseen footage showing the incident, which was assessed by two independent Portuguese-speaking lip‑reading experts. The evidence obtained from the experts did not support the allegation.”

He won't want to do it but I'd rather him sit the games out now so he's a positive addition in six games time. Knowing our look we will be up there battling for a top six spot, fessi is our top scorer, six games to go and he serves his ban then.

From my experience of investigation allegations of misconduct, the above extract describes an exempliatory way of conducting the investigation. Will be very interesting to see how FFs case was conducted in due course.

Millwall have had a £10,000 fine, even though there was evidence. We've got no chance with this appeal.

'Who does he play for?'

'Sheffield Wednesday'

'Guilty. String him up'.

'You can't do that, it was only racial abuse and a court found him not guilty'

'OK, lifetime ban. That will teach him to play for a northern club.'

'But there's no evidence. One players word against anothers'

' You can tell he's guilty just looking at him and he's foreign so who cares'.

'But that's racist, you can't ban someone for being foreign'

' I just have done and that's final'.

Or something like that.lol

Just print that out

Ask the FA to say what makes his case different - especially with less actual evidence

Ask them why the conclusion was different

Somebody posted the FA's report of their investigation on the longer Forestieri thread. It's worth a read if you can stomach it.

The fault in all this lays at the feet of Sheffield Wednesday Football club ...

Had they "done right" by the player when he refused to board the team Bus against Norwich at Carrow Road

None of this would have happened ...

So he sits out the games, accepts the ban, is booed by opposition fans in every game he plays in or attends, & is forever branded a racist? No, he only has the one sensible option available to him & that is to appeal.

If it takes as long to sort out the appeal as it has to sort out the original case we should get their decision around the middle of July 2020

I can see why he'd want to appeal it.

But lets be honest, those lot will never, ever change their verdict.

Do you really think him appealing will make a difference? He will still get a ban but it will be delayed.

If as he says , he didn’t do it , of course he’s going to appeal . What innocent man is going to accept that?

As for battling for the top 6 , I really wouldnt worry about that

The FA did use an Argentine linguistic/lip reading specialist.

Some Mr A Sabella apparently.

The FA hate us, sky hate us. The refs hate us.  It's the whole  club they hate, they want to exact some kind of vengeance for the semi tragedy. this is their way of doing it.
