Norwich Rhodes Bid

Recommended Posts

This is a wee wee take by Norwich but clearly clubs think they have a chance with us or they wouldn't try it on.

I would go back to Norwich and say the price is £6m for every day closer to the transfer window we get the price goes up £1m a day. The balls in your court you inbred bumkins. Maybe leave that last bit off. garymegson

Can’t fathom out why a club that hardly used him in the Championship want him for the Premier League.

Because he is cheap. or they think he is and he wont upset the harmony within there squad.

Beats paying 25m for a player that will probably be just as bad.

He’d probably be Norwich’s highest paid player though. It doesn’t add up.

To be fair, weren't we the ones who approached Ipswich a few years ago and tried to sign their too goal scorer on loan.

Perhaps they had a budget in mind for Rhodes. Seem a pretty organised club. And that included wages aswell.

For goodness sake let him go. He's on 50k a week and got two more seasons wasting his time with us. That's a lot of money in saved wages if he leaves

Norwich must be insane to want him.

In my book, Rhodes is so washed up that we should have to pay someone to sign him

So a free transfer is equivalent of a 5.2m transfer fee

Wrong.

He’s managed 10 appearances in those 55 games

Whether the previous post is right or wrong, what is obvious to most is that for all of his former glories, he is no longer a prolific goal scorer. Most business would have written this saga off a a bad debt, if the offer is ridiculous, then turn in down,. But for a club that has been hemorrhaging money for the last 3 years, it makes no sense to keep paying the wages we are for the return we are getting. At some point a sensible financial decision needs to be made.

Since taking over, DC has sold one player. Therein lies the issue.

That sort of thinking is why we’ve been in an embargo 2 seasons running.

 Not at all.

I never said we shouldn't sell any players.

But if we sell our Best players, then promotion is not a realistic possibility.

Unlike some on here, I'm sick and tired of the "second Division" and want to get out of it as soon as possible.
