We are three points better off than at this time last season and just three points off top.

We have got here without being particularly convincing. With a bit of luck we will improve after the International Break. If we do there is reason for optimism.

Our game away at Cardiff is massive for two reasons. A win takes us to the very top of the League for a few hours at least. A loss however sees us level with last season and hoping that we don't flatline as we did at the same point last season.

Sorry for the late post this game but it was due to the sites certificate problem.

Yes we've had a couple of unconvincing games in the first 11 games, in a time of change, but compared to 12 months ago....

- We've gone to Middlesbrough and got something... Our self respect and pride back and left Middlesbrough as a team of jibbering wrecks, which was miles away from last seasons performances against them

- We're playing with Passion, Fight and a Plan.

- The club is no longer divided. No more spectre of Mr Freeze

- Bruce and Bullen have made some quality additions to the squad among Iorfa, Borner, Kadeem and Luongo

- We've now got a Manager who not only sounds like he knows what he's talking about, the team are actually playing in the way he's described they will.

I can only see positives and can't see any reason why we can't continue to outstrip last year's graph.

Keep the Graphs coming.

After being cheated out of two points at Cardiff on Friday night we sit 8th in the table two positions below where we were at this time last season but one point better off.

After the twelfth game last season we only took one point from the next six games and it spelled the end for Jos. Let's hope that there is no repeat of that.

This time around we look much better in possession and quite a lot stronger in defence so I think we can push on. Two home wins if we can avoid, what looks like a refereeing conspiracy against us. I don't actually believe there is such a conspiracy but I can understand those who think there might be.

Lets face it we are only one win off second place right now and a positive run will see us in amongst the automatic promotion candidates.

For tonight's games.

The lowest we can drop to is 5th

Bristol City v Charlton

Charlton -  Any win they go 1 point above.

Bristol City -  Have to win by 6 clear goals, to go above on goal difference.

Forest v Hull

Forest - Any win they go 2 points above

All draw we stay in 3rd

Interesting that between matches 14-16 we flatlined under Carlos. If we have a good spell in the next few matches we'll be comfortably better off than in those seasons.
