I agree, and on Harris 2nd half showing you'd have to say so. Personally I'd play Fox if we're playing Harris, due to additional height / defending corners.

As much as Joao flattered to deceive on Sun, he may keep him in due to prowess in our box as defending near post.

So for me it's a simple throw up.

Based on performance in last game Harris and Fox should line up on left and Joao/ Odjob should be on bench, but if he sticks with Odjob and Palmer at FB then we may see Joao due to height at set pieces.

Should we be pacing Lee though? I love him, but i didn't start him because not certain in an actual full paced game how confident we are in him doing 90 minutes? I would bring him on with 30 minutes to go when we are 3-0 up and take Fessi off to see out the win.

Week by week bring him back up to pace.

It will be this.

I'd say a bench of: Dawson, Fox, Pelupessy, Rhodes, Forestieri, Joao, Nuhiu.

Those are some decent attacking subs if we need to change the game late on, something we've not had in a long time.

Apparently not missed a training session at all in pre season and played in all but one friendly.  He ought to be as fit as anyone else in the squad, and away in the first game against a posession side you would want three in the middle.

I'm actually in very good spirits and looking forward to it.

I really think we can put in a good performance and get a result.

*Prob have a man sent off after 6 minutes

Depending on if FF is suspended i'd be tempted to have him on the left in place of Reach. But I feel Reach now is one of the unstoppable

Not 100% convinced by Odubajo, could have been a one off but didn't really get forward much, passing a bit off and was a little too impulsive for me when pressing. Westwood had a very long chat with him on sunday after he wen't sprinting to the man on the ball leaving a runner free.

This tbh.

Rhodes on the bench for sure. As much as the obstinate OTers might still insist he's not worth it, he's our player and the fact is he's done well in preseason. Seems to have found where the goal is again, and should have had 2-3 pens against Espanyol, not just one. So worth having him to bring on along side Fletch if we need it.

Need a centre half on the bench. But you could argue that Hutch can fill in. But there's more chance he'll be off injured himself before the 90's up.

I think Thorniley is a good sub. Can go centre half or left back.
