Don’t know what issue with bullen is

Last night on RS Bullen suggested players were unfit for past few pre - seasons, but not now thanks to Bruce.

Well, he was their coach  while they were unprepared for a new campaign. Plus he assisted Jos.

Given he very likely had absolute zero say, Jos had his own methods which were bizarre in the extreme.

What if he won say 6 games on trot...would you change it?

But what if he lost the first 6 on the trot?

Probably meaning the sack and the end of a beautiful friendship/partnership with the club

he obviously loves and who's supporters love him.

Don't chance it Bully!

Stick to coaching and stay with The Wednesday.

The thing people need to realise - without trying to cause panic - is that if we don’t go up this season, we are screwed with FFP.

the ground sale was a massive one-off plaster to cover the cracks, and can’t be repeated.

it’s okay saying ‘give Bully a chance’ but we aren’t in a position to just see how things pan out non-chalantly.

If a better option doesn’t come along, then fair enough, but realistically we need an established manager at this moment in time.

Interesting opinion on ffp fella.................................................go on ?

I think he's more useful to the Club and Chansiri in his current role.

If and when things go wrong we know Bullen will be there to offer continuity, as he is currently doing.

Some fans moaning that he’ll be in charge but what I don’t get is he was working alongside Bruce remember and the fitness coach etc is still with us so all bullen would be doing is continuing the progress Bruce started surely maybe with a twist of his own ideas but other things he might roll with ?? Everyone believed Bruce would get us there so bullen surely won’t change too many things. But a new manager would change a lot more surely. So if we was all optimistic under Bruce then stay optimistic with bullen I am

Its not about there being an issue with Bullen.

He is not good enough for what we are looking for, full stop.

Waits for the usual ""he's a nice guy though, top bloke.

Love Bullen for his loyalty

But if Chansiri gives him the job all the good will created with the Bruce appointment will be gone

We need another manager with experience

We still have a good squad capable of getting out of this division

We should have a good start regardless with the fixtures

Trouble is when the cracks start to appear Bullen will disappear into one of them

‘Although the club have booked a profit within the year, without the sale of Hillsborough it would have lost around £35.5m with VAT and if you add that to the losses from the two previous years, that would have taken the losses to £66m compared to an FFP allowance of £39m.’ - Kieran Maguire (that football finances guy)

based on the above, we are going to breach FFP by the end of this season, and it won’t even be close...

someone please correct me if I’m wrong! (I hope I am!)

As we ended up in profit for the last year I think we have to lose less than the figure for the year before to stay under the £39m.

Maybe the £39m will be reviewed given the way fees and wages are increasing year on year?

Had his apprenticeship under several differing managers now.

Could be a good bet.

Apprenticeship!  What apprenticeship??? He could have been making his marks for a league 2 outfit and working his way up.

Good for rolling out the balls and getting the lads together, but lord help me we need someone with actual managerial nous, from tactics to recruitment.

Would be a depressing lack of ambition if given more than a minimal few matches.

Then why not resign instead of taking our money for doing nowt?

And the players must really respect him if that was his role - handing out training bibs.

Nice guy. But he should stick to estate agency.

Wow Fred, I didn't know Bully used to be an estate agent. Just shows what you can learn on Owlstalk.

This is too big a club for him to have an audition to find out.

Pep Guardiola had his 'audition' with Barcelona.

Zinedine Zidane had his 'audition' with Real Madrid

What truly idiotic statement you've just made
