Popular Post Lord Snooty
"Good evening,Sir" "Evening Stubbs! Back from the Nuns? Darts night was it?" "Quiz night Sir" "Oooh. Got anything for me?" "Nestor Lorenzo." "Oh, don't tell me, don't tell me, I know it, I know. Oooh, I love a quiz. I've got it! He was the padre in 'For a Few Dollars More' wasn't he?!" "No,Sir. He's the latest person to be linked with the Wednesday Job" "What Wednesday Job?" "THE Wednesday job, Sir" "What?! An Actor? No." "No sir, he's an Argentinian coach" "Well it doesn't matter what he is. It's too late. Jobs in the bag Stubbs, in the bag. Heard it tonight on Owlstalk . That Hughton chaps got it. Someone has leaked it out. Someone on here is ITK" "Really Sir, how interesting. Not 3 hours ago it was Gary Rowett who was definitely, definitely taking over...from someone ITK" "Really? So which one is it then, for Gods sake?! Hughton, Rowett or Sergio Leone" "It's Lorenzo, sir" "Whatever! Which one of them is in charge today?" "Lee Bullen" "Eh?!?" "Sir. If i might suggest; In future when you hear or read the acronym "ITK" you remember it as "I Talk Karp" "Oh, yes. Very good that Stubbs. Though doesn't carp begin with a 'C'" "It does Sir. But originally it began with a 'K' and was metonymic surname for a fisherman" "Ah, very good Stubbs, and there's been plenty of fishing on here since Bruce left!" "Exactly,Sir" Wednesday - V - Espanyol Friendly Hillsborough Stadium 3:00pm RCD Espanyol de Barcelona Stadium: RCDE Stadium (40,500 capacity) Head coach: David Gallego Captain: Javi López 2018/19 top scorer: Borja Iglesias (20 goals from 43 appearances) 18/19 Placing : Espanyol finished seventh in La Liga ============ "We expect a really tough test and we wouldn't want it any other way. Espanyol are a top team so it's a heck of a challenge. We fully expect to be stretched in ways we haven't been so far. We want to see how the lads stand up to the test. It will be up to them to adapt and handle things. There will be questions asked of the players and we will see if they can find the answers. It will be a great test for them and it is a good match for the supporters to come along and watch top European opposition. Given the adversity of the coach leaving the club, the players have shown great professionalism and togetherness. They have been really great and shown a good attitude in training. There is a really good mood around the place and they have reacted well to what we have asked them to do." Kalamunda
2-2 draw. Fletcher and Lee score. A playful tabby cat runs on to the pitch and starts to play right midfield for Espanyol...around the 75th minute I reckon. ITK.

The Night-Owl
Keep an eye out during the game for the Argentinean Neville Southall, Nestor Tables. Also look out for Zola; Coleman, Monk, Rowett, Pulis, Hughton, Ollie, the Cowley Brothers, Stendel, Gio, Gendesio, Tedesco, etc. Apparently we're hiring all of them or none of them...
DuttyTeabags
Nice one Snoots. Good to be focusing on footy, be interesting to see what side he puts out. If it is Espanyol reserves also be interesting to see if any loans we can pinch!
The Night-Owl
We gotta keep up our fine European record during this campaign. Our home European record is stronger than our away record. These are no mugs but if we can beat Barcelona at home we can beat their inferior neighbours. It will be tough but I think we'll keep a good of our kings of Europe crown. C'mon the Wednesday! TommyCraig
Always wondered about their name. Espanol. Does it literally mean Spanish? That'd be like us having a team in Prem called English.

Lord Snooty
Gordon Bennett, I'm sure half of these newspaper hacks are taking back handed piece work from the bookies... Right little earner for them.
Morepork
I was going to say ITK not what it used to be.......but on reflection, I'm not so sure. Thanks Snooty. I pray for the madness to end the days to be just the tiniest bit normal. EDIT: Who the f**k is Gordon Bennet? someone new to the manager race!!! He'll be 16/1 tomorrow morning. It's usually assumed that their fans are pro Unionist and Barcelona fans are pro separatist but I've looked into it and it's not so. There isn't a Celtic Rangers type political divide thankfully.
