He may study the game keep upto date with tactics and the philosophy of the game. Not saying he's the answer but let's not simply dismiss him through ignorance. jp1981
Personally, if we are going tp take a punt on a foreign manager I would rather us go for someone like Bruno Genesio (ex Lyon). That's if we could afford him and he would come.

woldsowl
Saw him make his debut at the County Ground. Was a sub I think and scored a great goal from a corner. Was completely useless after that.

Guest oz_owl
Strange article. Would be an odd appointment. But no stranger than Carlos or Jos, and Nixon called both of those (and Bruce). So there could be something to this. Very risky if true.

If we can't get Hughton the most suitable candidate at this level out of the proven candidates. Then instead of settling for someone second rate that hasn't achieved anything or not done anything of note for several years, why not show some ambition and forward thinking. Going for a foreign manager doesn't mean we should bring in someone obscure without any pedigree. We could go for a out of work foreign manager with some pedigree or a younger high profile manager, someone with more pedigree than the typical names and yesterday's men on the betting list. Someone like Gio; Genesio, Tedesco or Quique Setien, would be a far more ambitious appointment than someone like Pulis or Ollie that haven't done anything of note for several years.
