As a gesture we should let Bury have ALL the gate reciepts. It won't be a massive crowd, but that money would help them big time , and im sure it wouldnt hurt us.

If we do play them, we should let them keep all the earnings from the fixture.

Good luck Bury.

As harsh as it might sound, clubs werent exactly lining up to help us when we were served with a winding up order and were on the brink of non existence.

And where do we draw the line? Do we pick and chose which clubs to help? We certainly wouldnt be as generous if it were Rotherham again, L**ds or the other lot.

Only because owners pay it.

Work within your means or face the consequences.

Football chairmen in this country are ruining the game - no one else.

The buck stops with them every time

It’s a crying shame for the supporters of all clubs

I acknowledge that but the greed culture filters down, like it or not. Us fans are the worst for it. We won't allow our clubs to work within their means, we demand players to a similar level of players being signed by bigger/wealthier clubs. I'm not saying it's right but it's true. The money in the PL is ruining our game top to bottom.

Fans can winge all they want about signing this or that player but it’s up to the club to run itself properly

If a kid wants a new toy but you can’t afford it you don’t buy it - unless you’re an idiot.

I agree. But it's reality. And it starts with the greed at the top. It natural.

I think we play Notts county if bury can’t play the fixture as they come second off bottom in league 2 last season, not 100 percent if this is true though!

Seen as they are now in non league, I reckon that isn't true.

Not only that, they are playing Harrogate in the league that day already.

Completely agree the buck stops with the chairmen of these clubs and it’s down them to run these clubs responsibly, it’s also probably hard for the EFL to turn round and say ‘Mr Dale’ is unfit to run a club due to lack of whatever ..because what if he was the only one willing to step up ? Clubs then gonna go to the wall and fans will likely again point the finger at the EFL but yes better due diligence should be undertaken

I’ve absolutely no idea why Bolton are getting handouts from the PFA either, Bury are going to the wall but Bolton get bailed out ?

To finish though I’ve gotta say what an absolute disgrace it will be to see Bury go to the wall for sake of probably a couple of million quid in today’s game, when there’s Sky throwing disgusting amounts at the PL for tv rights and Man Utd and City just across the road ?  Come on .... City could bail them out and help them out with a few players for 6month while they get back on there feet , Utd could do same and it wouldn’t affect them a jot

The reality is they haven’t run the club correctly

Gutted for the supporters and despise the people in charge who have done it but it’s nobody’s fault but theirs

Players wages or premier league money has nothing to do with it

flipping nonsense.  The entire FL is an unsustainable operation.  Bury isn't the only club hanging by a thread.

The exorbitant money's tossed around by the PL fatcats haven't filtered on down the league structure, but player wages and agent fees have exponentially increased.  This is entirely due to the systemic, financial classism enforced by the flipping PL.

Bury got promotion by throwing loads of money at it ,money they dont have ,i feel sorry for there supporters that there owner has probably finished them. There are millions of examples in day to day life ,where especially younger people buy things on credit with no hope of ever paying for it. Just live within your means or is that too old fashioned .debt is a dirty word .

I bet he has his ex girlfriend name tattooed on his forehead.

Many many years ago when I was at high school we visited the local police station (some liaison thing to stop kids seeing coppers as the enemy). Aside from coming across one of our classmates in the police cells, there was another guy there. Very angry young man. He had something tatooed on his forehead. Took me a while to work it out but eventually did. He had meant to tatoo   ***kYou   but unfortunately had used a mirror so it read as  uoY k*** on his forehead. And this was in the days before laser tatoo removal. Anyway given the need for passun and getting it up 'em maybe he could do a job for us......?

Such a sorry state to see Bolton and Bury like this.

why don’t EFL concentrate on avoiding any club getting into this situation rather than the obsession with FFP? How can football league allow these 2 clubs get to the brink is frankly outrageous.

So because Bury can’t run itself properly-we should give them handouts??

Should other businesses have given Woolworths money??

Running a football club should be easier than any business going - you know from the start of every year how many customers you are guaranteed, they pay up front!!!

You get additional money from television

You get bonuses for doing well

YET, clubs still don’t budget correctly.

My sympathy is with the supporters who are powerless but the owners of clubs who get like this are moronic

Would imagine we will get awarded a 1-0 victory.

Players can fight it out amongst themselves who scored it.

lol

That'll be an automatic 10 match ban for FF when the FL/FA hear about this!

lol
