Kopparberg
I’m intrigued as to what is going to happen with Rhodes. Does the club actually want to sell him? Bruce suggested he needed to move him on, but Bruce has gone himself. Was Bruce actually thinking of signing him (when he got to) Newcastle !? ...it’d be odd but not impossible. Will Norwich leave it until the last minute to come in for him? I personally think Rhodes could stay with us and have a good season. - We are missing an intelligent link up player ‘like’ Hooper - Harris and Reach could supply Rhodes - He’s bagged a few in pre season - There might be less pressure on him this time around. - Someone has to get us the goals... maybe it’s him? SiJ
He seems to be starting most games. Is that trying to put him in the shop window (not that you'd really need to - people know who he is) or is it because we want to go with him and Fletch as our starting two strikers? Weird one... kristmace
I hope the plan is him and Fletcher. He's had a year away and did reasonably and we're a different team now CC and Jos have gone.
SiJ
With Reach and Harris on the wings, we may well see Jordan somewhat back to his best. We all know he's a bit limited, but if you put the ball in the box he's likely to get you plenty of goals. 4 2

S36 OWL
For me , Rhodes is the most proven striker we have , with a goal record to back that up.. id love to see him and fletcher as our first choice strikeforce.
Bluesteel
Who knows with FFP but seeing as he has been an absolute gunman this pre season I wouldn’t mind if he got another crack at it.

mrrodge
Playing a lot in pre season and scoring goals. Would love to see him stay and form a partnership with Fletcher. With Harris and Reach starting on the wings it does leave questions on others futures such as Forestieri and Joao
agentwalker
the main issue is we have too many strikers. We must shift two minimum. Now its just a case of who's interest? we know Norwich are and that's it.
pazowl55
Not knocking Rhodes here but didn't we only start playing when we switched to three in midfield and a lone striker of Fletcher ( our best striker by miles at present ). Think if he stays he will be a sub.
WalthamOwl
Keep him. Think he will do well for us this season. Doing well in pre season and more importantly scoring goals. Would keep him ahead of a few of our other strikers.
trev
I would love it if he turned into our 20 goal a season striker. However, it seems unlikely. He's expensive, the new manager needs to get this one right. We can't afford to have him as a bit part player all season.

Animis
We have too many strikers, and we could/should move at least one on. Rhodes is an obvious target due the his wage and FFP, and the circumstances around his time at SWFC. We could raise a half decent fee if sold also. However, I feel he is number 2 in the pecking behind Fletcher who is probably on similar wages, but we'd not get a fee realistically or nowhere near Rhodes. Joao is 3/4 on the pecking order and we could raise a decent fee similar to JR but imagine his wages are half of SF/JR. Winnall is unlikely to get game time unless injuries or form force the new manager's hand. We could get circa £1m for him and his modest wages would marginally help FFP Not sure if there's any point including Nuhiu in the discussions, as he's on minimum wages and helps out in the shop and canteen also.
Leaping Lannys Perm
Right now I think we are better to keep him than let him go. But I suppose FFP might make the decision for us. If we can sell him and write off the proportion of his fee for the year then I guess DC could be tempted. Wouldn't want to see him go on loan again though. Doesn't seem to serve the purpose. Guest The Horse
I hate to use him as an example but the Billy Sharp analogy stands up here. Both him and Rhodes will not play the modern forward role. But they are instinctive old school 'strikers'. Give them a chance and they'll score more often than not. If you make the chances instead of fannying about around the back, a 20 goal a season striker will put you in with a good shout of being in the promotion race. We can't keep relying on Fletch and FF getting 10-12 goals or Reach's worldies every other month.

S72 Owl
Id love to see him have a run of games with Fletcher, with Reach and Harris on the wings. My worry with those two starting is that neither have a turn of pace to turn the defence so against the best defences in the league we could struggle. gurujuan
We’d have the slowest front pairing in the league, if we persist with him and Fletcher. It might work against the likes of Northampton and Lincoln, but we won’t make much headway against the better sides
