Spondon Owl
There's a clamour on here from some to have Ian Holloway as our next manager. Im sure I'm missing something, but what has Holloway done in footballing terms since ~2013 to warrant being a prime candidate? I can't think of anything of note.... Can someone explain? 1

handworth52
When names like pullis, bullen, coleman karanka ,zola moyes mclaren get banded about thats why some of us would have holloway . The rest would either send us to sleep or take us down. 1
Guest Kagoshimaowl
What’s Gary Megson done? Absolutely nothing yet some idiots want him too. Would take Holloway over Meggo any day of the week and twice on Sunday.
Bannofan
Why start a new thread? Hate it when Matchday gets all 'notice me'.
Owls Loyal
In the poll I see that Holloway comes in second to GV Bronkhorst. It suggests he has some supporters.

Boris Johnson has some supporters it doesn't make him a fit person to be a leader. 1

Owls Loyal
Holloway took both Blackpool and Crystal Palaced into the Premier League. Quite an achievement. 1
George
He's also got a promotion with QPR. We must surely have a manager who has achieved promotions before. He's enthusiastic and he 'gets' Wednesday. He gets in peoples faces and he demands commitment. He understands footballers and keeps these simple and honest.
Bouncing Owl
Done very little recently but I’d plump for him at the moment given Hughton has turned us down and also looking at the other candidates available. I think he’s a ‘good fit’ for us. We like a character and these types of managers have always done well at Wednesday. Plus Holloway has an affinity with us - he would love this job! George
And frankly, if we don't get Holloway, who the fizz are we getting? Coleman? Achieved fizz all Rowett? Achieved fizz all Monk? Don't kid yourself that we are getting GVB, it's cloud cuckoo land.

Not many managers can say they have 2 promotions into the premiership and as that’s what we’re trying to achieve, and he seems to love Wednesday, he maybe one of the better options out there at the moment.
