Bullen interview

Recommended Posts

Apart from the contacts thing which is important I'd've though players would be just as annoyed with SB and be more closer unit with LB. Just carry on the training techniques that Bruce did and carry on as normal without the snake.

I’m not buying all this ‘steady hand at the wheel’ lets appoint Bully garbage Wednesdayites are throwing about on social media today

A steady hand at the wheel gets you a mid table/survival season ... this is the Sheffield Wednesday fanbase were on about , we don’t do patience , we don’t do settling for mid table and I DONT wanna see Bullen hounded out when he’s not upto pushing us onto a top 6 finish

We need experience and knowledge, we need the closest skill set to Bruce’s we can possibly find and it’s not Lee

Well that's exactly whats been happening for the last 20 odd years. Maybe next time we will get lucky with pin..

Could also do without his campaigning for the permanent slot everytime he gets a caretaker nod.

Apart from what he said in this interview i’m sure he’s always distanced himself from the job in the past, definately no campaigning

Biggs on twitter massively advocating Bullen for the job and saying about getting Chris Turner to come in and work with him. fizz me. Also didn’t Biggs write Bullens book with him? No wonder he is shouting Bullens name for the job.

Didn't Chris Turner bring in Whelan and Brunt ?

No experience

No contacts

Absolutely gutted if he becomes manager

agree would be a disaster if he got job. we all like bullen and would like him to be here for years , what we need is chansiri to issue a statement regards that we are looking for a manager asp. we are 2-3 players short of having a top 6 team , a new man needs to be in now and have time to get the new players in and maybe letting 1-2 out.

That was what 15 years ago. What’s he done since then?

I am not suggesting he would be a suitable choice as manager. But if Bullen is given the job, Turner's ability to spot a good young player might be worth taking into consideration

Imagine how much worse the situation would be if Bruce had got rid of Bullen when he came in, which could have happened with him bringing in the 2 other Steves.

However, I still think we should be trying to get a new manager in - but I'd rather keep Bullen than appoint some of the names banded about i.e. Zola, Monk, Pulis, Megson etc

I hope to god we dont appoint bullen, he brings nothing to the table apart from his loyalty. What's he done to deserve a go,a few games as caretaker with no pressure. You know what will happen start badly and it's bullen out and we go through this all again.

Would rather have King Paul Sturrock. I bloody loved him. (Don’t really think we should get him back)

Just imagine if we lose at Reading, get turned over in the local derby against Barnsley, the same people who are wanting him to get the job because he’s loyal will be wanting him out. Bullen doesn’t deserve that, the pressure will be to much. Keep him on the coaching staff but get a proper manager in.

I can see it all now.....

After 23 games as manager (10 caretaker, 13 permanent) and a 100% win rate in the 2019/20 season, Lee Bullen looks set to quit Sheffield Wednesday to join Hearts.

“It’s news to me” he said. “I am just looking to get a few days off to walk the dog after this busy Christmas period.”
