0114
The thing is these offers could be reasonable. We aren’t getting £8m for a striker whose best season was getting 9 league goals. Chansiri’s valuations are crazy.

bradowl
Pigs might come in for him. £7M and £40k a week wages should do it.

WalthamOwl
If we got anywhere near the 5 million mark for him I would probably let him go. No doubt the lad has talent but he doesn’t show it anywhere near enough. Shame Nuhiu won’t hand it a transfer request
matthefish2002
Think Joao is a player who is very talented but for whatever reason lacks application. Lost patient with him that he will ever make a big impact at Wednesday. £8m seems a bit high but would look to move him on.
bradowl
I think Bruce was looking to play him out wide with all strikers we've got. Might change his mind under a new manager who sees him as a striker.
SallyCinnamon
Explains the meeting the pair had the other day. Chansiri really needs to learn it’s completely normal to sell players. If he doesn’t understand it, Football really isn’t for him. We have six strikers. Please see some sense DC. 8 million is a ridiculous valuation.

peacock1961
I still have faith in him, think his goals to games ratio is the best at the club. Just needs to be loved and picked every week.

The Night-Owl
Newcastle need strikers? Another £4mill or £5mill? Along with the compo, we could then get a decent manager and bring Hector back and maybe we'll also be able to go for someone like Morsy or Maddison too. It's a shame he hasn't (and genuinely believe won't) reach his full potential here, but there's a few million to be made on his sale. Can see there being something in this, and we could make the best of this. Agree, always said there is a real player in there, if someone gets it every week out of him, he will be worth a fair few quid Sell on clause required
Mountain Owl
Another example of our chairman having no grasp of valuations. Joao has shown no consistency wherever he's been and his workrate and application is questionable. How can be valued at £8m? I would think £4m tops. We need to offload some of our forwards and if he doesn't want to play for us let him go, £3m to £4m DC.

NeonLeon
£3-4mill and with a 25% sell on that could easily double the fee inside 2 years.
KernowOwl
I wish I could be a mega rich club owner, I would love to tell a player like this 'of course you can leave, we value you at £1' then turn to his agent and say 'enjoy your 10%'. 1
