Carlos was great when he came in. Breath of fresh air.

Hell, even Jos had a decent spell.

Don't let the end of their spells (especially CC) cloud your judgement on the rest of it. On the whole Carlos reign was positive.

It was but it was always going to be doomed due to the way transfer were handled.

We need someone who will take over the whole show. The less DC handles of the playing side the better

Is there genuine interest? Seeing lots of rumours and mentions elsewhere. It would wee wee Ashley and the Geordies off. I think DC won't want to mess this appointment up after losing Bruce. I wouldn't be surprised if it's a interesting big name forward thinking appointment or a high profile recently retired player turned coach.

He's won the title and a couple of other trophies, and managed in the Champions League with Feyenoord. Pretty sure he'd have decent contacts or links. But the best thing about going for him would be weeing the Geordies and Ashley off because he was one of the managers who turned them down. It would be worth it just for that alone.

There is nothing not to like about him when you read what he has achieved in his short time as a manager.

I think they turned him down due to his lack of premiership experience which is perfect for us as it shows he’s willing to come to England and manage, if was keen on a shoiithole, cluster duck of a club like Newcastle he can be tempted here no problem.
