Gary Rowett seems to be getting shortened odds.

Did an excellent job at Birmingham, took Derby to the playoffs, underachieved at Stoke (but off the back of relegation I’m guessing there was a lot more wrong there than Gary Rowett).

We could do a lot worse than him.

Not my first choice but just put a tenner on him. Can see it happening

Can see bullen getting this on an interim basis with chansiri assessing where we are at Christmas before making a permanent appointment.

I hope Bullen doesn't get it. No way should he be anywhere near that job. Literally just last season he was moaning that he couldn't do it. That was after a few games. Thats not to say I don't like Bully though.

Manager wise I would pick Hughton, maybe someone like GVB would work out but other than then two maybe Rowett or Monk who have done reasonably well at clubs theres far worse out there

He was at 12s a few days ago which isn’t a bad price for the most likely interim manager if we take our sweet time. These markets are so volatile though unless you have genuine inside info

Me, god no...just thought, that's a value bet, I don't usually bet on managers at all, but I like to take a look who is on 'the list'.

Must admit I was tempted when bruce went 9/4 from nowhere, I was confident there was something in it but I couldn't see DC letting him go, didn't think he could just say bolllaxe I'm off, legally and morally.

Wish I had researched Bruce's background more...

Biggsy trying to drum up support for his pal Bullen.

I like Lee, but he is not what we need right now.

With the uncertainty you can see why people might be sticking money on Bullen. Most bookies pay out if a caretaker has looked after 10games.

Think he was disapointed with his 50% win rate.

I think his time as come, Bullen primed for job now.

Continuety of something that isn't broken along with respect of players and supporters.

If that shortlist is true. It’s not the most exciting.

Stendel, I would be happy with.

Monk, meh.

Rowett, be oreyt.

Megson, no no no.

Coleman, absolutely atrocious manager.

My son once worked in a pub where one of the chefs was an ex-footballer who'd not been too far away but had had to give up because of persistent knee problems really young. This guy was in contact with quite a few people at Derby and reported that they all had lots of time for Rowett.

And that is as Insider as I will ever get.

Rowett is a bit like for like. Another card drawn from the pile of previously discarded managers who clearly aren't brilliant but equally aren't disasters. Just as Bruce was a solid choice without ever being anyone's idea of a brilliant manager, so with Rowett. I'd settle for him as things stand
