Only thing that might let him down at wednesday is he's kind of the player/manager link. he's a little too close to the players to make the tough decisions for me.

Not sure about that. Made the right decisions when Jos left and the way he handled the situation was top class.

Bullen had said on several occasions when he's been caretaker manager that he doesn't want the job full time.  He'd rather drop down & coach the youngsters than put himself in the hot seat.

Bullen is ideal for interim continuity but I'd be worried if he was even considered for a managerial role on a permanent basis at the club.

Very lucky to still be here.

No-one knows anything about his ability as a coach, because he's never been in a position, other than briefly, to be responsible for it.  In other words, he will have just done what he was told to do.  BUT he does possess that old-fashioned asset called loyalty.  DC likes loyal people so we can expect, rightly, to see him here for some time to come.  That's good as far as I'm concerned

Im not sure it’s as simple as that, people don’t seem to be taking into account we desperately need promotion, otherwise next season could find us with serious financial issues.

 

I don’t believe for a second Bullen has the ability to get us anywhere near promotion.
