Top marks to the Wednesdayite giving it large to Bruce

The guy has really let himself and the club down.

He deserves his 3 year banning order and the club should also ensure he is banned for life from home games.

I do not buy the desperate to manage his boyhood club stuff. He has already turned them down twice and managed Sunderland... not that desperate is he?..

I don't think his managing Sunderland matters, because it's a professional game.

But turning them down twice in the past is significant.

When did this happen?

Because if I'm wrong about his motives then it's a big worry.

He can't have much confidence in our chances of promotion.

Newcastle are going to really struggle to stay in the division, but he must regard them as a better bet than us.

And there probably isn't a club in the country with a worse return per pound invested than Newcastle.

Unfortunately a very decent lad who’s never been in any trouble in his life before had a rush of blood resulting in him making a complete buffoon of himself.

He didn’t get released from the cells until 5pm and is now under a temporary football banning order until a court appearance and the inevitable criminal conviction and full 3 year banning order.

Does amaze me that nearly everyone who does something wrong and gets put before the courts is always described as a "really good lad/lass" it's not in their character, rush of blood, (delete where appropriate). Well if it not in their character who's is it?

Fair enough we may have all done daft things, but most of us draw a line at criminal acts.

Looks like red button for the next few years then.

So one committed wednesdayite makes a mistake after a few beers who is one of the few thousand who makes his way to Lincoln and he's persecuted as some sort of murderer.. Everybody on here must be saints. People in glass houses ect. Steve Bruce has shown no respect or loyalty to this club and you'll back him before one of your own fans. I'm not saying it was right confronting Bruce but sometimes emotions get the better of you. Neg away

Don't think anyone has likened him to a murderer.

Plenty of us go to away games and have a few more drinks than is good for us but the vast majority still realise that leaving the stands to confront the manager is a bad idea. Looks big enough and old enough to know better, don't know what he was hoping to achieve.

I had an open mind regards bruce but now ive heard all the facts I want him gone or left to rot if Newcastle don't pay up(which they wont) all the sh*t he spouted about what a massive set of supporters we are ,how vile villa support was,our owner letting him stay in west indies for 5 weeks ,and spouting lies regards the Newcastle job when he had already had discussions with them days ago or longer , and to top it off it be like him going back to villa x100 the abuse awaiting him will be unreal , and he only getting a basic 1million a year salary lol he will be gone by October what payoff has he got? would need to be 5million to cover the 2 plus years he wont be working for here what he gets , and he will be done with football once he gets the vile abuse what awaits him . the man has got rocks in his head.

don't think he turned them down (Newcastle ) he may have been considered in the past but don't actually think he was offered the job until now

Exactly. Not the most serious of things. But why come on here trying to defend his actions as a rush of blood and that he was locked up for a few hours. Simple really if you cant behave after a few shandys then best stick to pop in future.

Worth noting that the fan giving it large to Bruce was also wearing a Luke polo shirt

Have I missed something "luke" polo shirt?? Is it only available in xxxL and sold to 40 somethings who cant hold their drink?

Offered it by Freddie Shepherd  in 2004.

Turned it down to stay at Birmingham.

"As far as I'm concerned, I've got a job to do here and I'm determined to get on with it. Yes, I'm a Geordie and Newcastle's where my roots are and everyone knows what the club means to me, but nothing's changed. I'm committed to Birmingham."

We are no one's fallback option.

And to those chanting "Steve Bruce's Barmy Army", have a word.  How about Brucie reciprocate some of our already-displayed loyalty and respect before giving him yet another free pass.

Top Mark's?

More like skid marks
