Another clean sheet from Westwood.

He did the same exactly a year ago too.

We didn't see him again for another 5 months!

Cheers Jos. WTF:

Looking at those two squads.

If we did manage to get hector back. If we add a midfielder to cover in case hutch or lee get injured and maybe one more winger.....

it looks a strong squad to me, happy with the defenders even if we can’t get hector back (obv better if we do)

happy with the midfield maybe barring a quality winger and we stay injury free

and I’m happy with the forwards, fletch , winnal FF and hopefully a new Rhodes now we have wide players. And then obv add joao and nuhiu.

Feeling quite optimistic

You feeling ok mate ? Ha

Interesting that Joao has been used as a left winger this pre season so far

Is it not what they call an inside forward??

That way they can cut in and shoot on thier prodominant foot.

Kind of like Nando used to do before he decided he wanted to be the littlest hobo. Sorry target man lol

Nice to be out watching live football again after 2 months. Some neat play today against a decent Lincoln side. Borner looked ok, even with one boot, Odubajo looked good too.

Rhodes & Fletch. It's the future. Westwood solid first half. Stood only 5 yards behind him & you'd swear their players couldn't miss until KW gets in the way. Top keeper.

Good first half, hit the woodwork three times. Borner was solid and Rhodes was lively.

Dropped off badly after substitutions, wildsmith and the kids. Penney was particularly weak in defending and Stobbs was little better as his partner on the left.

We desperately need to get some of our fringe players out on loan to get them used to league football.  Playing U23 football week in week out isn’t bringing them on, league football is a massive step up, they need taking out of their comfort zones but far too money are happy to earn a decent living playing reserve football.

Agree with that. Penny more of a threat going forward.

Baring in mind we only had 1/2 squad there, it was a good performance. Was in Lincoln end and they were impressed with Lucas and Fletcher and a lot clapped Bazza off.

Lucas put more effort into that friendly than I've seen him in a league game

Two or three wonderful touches from Joao today, he has the ability to be one hell of a player. Do we think he can make a go of that left sided attacker role? He’s not exactly a winger as such, more like Kodija, who Bruce used in a similar role at Villa. If we could get him to get in the box more, when the ball is on the other flank, I think he’d be good for 15 goals a season from out wide

For some reason z you forget the size of João. He's massive!

With all that is going on off the pitch thought that was a very professional performance from the players. Really pleased Rhodes got a goal. If he could get another few in pre season for confidence he imo could be a very useful player to have next season.

Some bloke just ran on pitch to confront Bruce.

Overweight, short cropped balc hair. Remind you of anyone?

This fella has received more national media coverage than the match itself

Call me cynical, but is he really a Wednesdayite?

Or someone acting on behalf of Sky Sports - who needed something to justify their own presence at the game

Couldn't have been a Wednesdayite or he would have smacked him.

I can't get to see many live matches but was at Sincil Bank today. Owls certainly played well, especially in first half, but they had to. The Lincoln side gave them plenty to think about and played some decent football themselves. It was a thoroughly good game to watch and played in a good spirit. Despite the today's plaudits there were occasions when a half decent championship team would have punished us. An encouraging start but work still needed.

Mceachran still involved, wonder if he's signed a contract at this point and the club just hasn't announced it yet. Would make sense considering we are very low on depth in the midfield area.

He didnt look good today or fit
