General_Grievous
If DC stands firm on compo and Ashley walks from this, would you support Bruce continuing in the role?
Guest wilyfox
Only if he stands centre-circle at Hillsborough and sings Take That's Back for Good in front of us all.

alanharper
Yes, as long as he's fully committed to the job and gives his side of the story. If he was tempted by the prospect of managing his boyhood club at a higher level, I don't think anyone would really blame him for being interested. Who else are we going to get with a better track record? Bruce knows how to get promoted from this league, he's started to lay the foundations already and I hope he finishes the project. Glenn59
he'd have a hell of a job building those bridges again with fans. think it'd be time to say no, the club, chairman etc showed him a lot of kindness and he spat it back at them
dewsburyowl58
If he stays we can use him to get promoted then get rid of him , just use him instead .
WalthamOwl
fizz knows. One minute I think yes the next minute I think no.
matthefish2002
Think yes but think Bruce will have to accept crowd might not give him benefit of the doubt if we don't get off to a good start this season.
Nero
Yes. But I would respect him less and be after oiking him earlier than I would have if he isn't immediately successful.
Burnsie
Course, cos the other way involves sacking him and paying the rest of his contract
Silverstone Owl
Yes absolutely, still think he’s the right man for the job, and don’t blame him for being tempted by the prospect of managing his home town club. OwlBiSeeinThi
He's not gone anywhere yet. So we'd hardly be having him back.

NeonLeon
The rumours of him instigating the move is unsettling, especially after he pleaded ignorance on Tuesday. Part of me feels a nod towards setting the record straight on that is necessary. But rumours are usually exactly that, rumours.

Is it so difficult to believe Bruce might feel the same?
Andrew_Owl
Yes, he was bookies favourite for another job. Not the end of the world.
oh_weds_we_love_you
He's the right man for the job and he's still our manager (as far as I know), so of course. I know it's been a while since we had a manager in demand, but we need to remember if Premier League clubs come for our manager then they must be doing a decent job and have to respect there will be interest. jamthesun
The other point that hasn’t had much of an airing is that he only has six months contract left here. Who wouldn’t listen to another employer offering more money and a longer contract?
Rev Owl
He hasn't gone so he can't come back. If he does go he won't come back. Some of us need to give our heads a wobble. Ridiculous posturing doesn't come near it. Edited July 12, 2019 by Rev Owl
Bagarri
Yes. I’m still in the same job as last year but I’ve spoken to 2 other companies in that time, always look at your options. Same applies.
