Chris Hughton

For me, if factual.

Chris Hughton turning the job down, is a bigger blow than Steve Bruce leaving.

Because Bruce left for a very specific reason; Whereas Hughton has highlighted that we aren't all that attractive to even accept a huge wage. Doubts creep in with knock backs.

We are probably Hector, a CM and another winger away from contending but they have to be quality. (Like the 2 wolves wingers who've just joined the championship)

Hughton May well see himself as a Premier League Manager now and that might be the reason we’re not attractive to him.

I think he'll want a team he can put his stamp on. Players moving in and out quicker. Alot of room to manouvre in the transfer market.

We seem off the pace in that regard.

My first choice will always be Houghton, I'm not convinced he can't be persuaded

Failing that, I'd try for Alex Neil at Preston

Another I like is Johnson at Bristol City, but I can't see him being interested

Other than those three, I think the choices are pretty thin

I'm not a fan of Pullis, Megson Karanka etc

Holloway is has mad as a hatter, has he still got the magic?

Monk would have been another option if it wasn't for the rumours about bungs and the like

No pressure Mr C.

Just a bloke, who used up all his luck in one go when he met his wife.

I’ve not given up on Hughton yet but let’s face it he’s managed at the top level and will probably bide his time until this seasons sack race starts.

I'd like to think they've pulled out all the stops to let him know he was such a popular choice among the fanbase, but if he's not ready for a new challenge than I understand that, he'll be financially sound and there's more to life than work.

He’s managed there, but he’s done naff all at the top level. I’d be surprised if a PL club wanted him.

He’s an excellent championship manager though and should be top of DC’s list.

I don’t believe the story that he’s absolutely not interested tbh. And I think if DC really wants him, he’ll make him a huge, tempting offer.

Start of a new week.

The season only two weeks away.

What a good time for another approach to Chris Hughton.

The candidate most of the fans would like at SWFC.

Throw a wad at him Mr C

It's rare for any manager to turn a club down rather than the other way around.

They're either addicted to the buzz or stupid. Most can't stay away.

Look at Leeds under Cellino- complete fruit loop of an owner and a reputation for sacking managers depending on his tea leaves that morning but they kept lining up to take the job.

Forest, Boro, Brum all not too attractive now but they keep coming in.

My complete educated guess is that Hughton feels his stock is high enough to get a prem job in the run up to Christmas. Not because we're unattractive, which we aren't at all.

There's a shed load of talent here and is a real opportunity for someone wanting to make a name for themselves.
