If Newcastle move breaks down then to me Bruce is still best manager we are going to get.

Swallow our price, draw a line under it and look forward to the new season.
Football fans are a fickle bunch and win first game of season and this is yesterdays chip paper.

Knowing our luck we'd draw a line under it and cheer Bruce into the new season only for us to lose our first five games

lol

Just come out and say we are the best fans in the world. Works every time.

Funny that. Talking to a Geordie mate st holder yesterday & he said he's just keeping the club to spite the fans. All this for sale saga is just a smokescreen. He's happy with bottom half every season & raking the cash in.

It really is time the fans boycotted. See how big his ego is when they are playing in front of an empty ground every other week.

To be fair most clubs would be happy with that wouldn't they? We would take that, most bar 3 or 4 clubs in the Prem would take that really. What do Newcastle think they deserve that others don't?

Trouble is, he's already got their cash from st sales. The only ones to suffer from an empty ground would be the team. Can't imagine how you get Ashley out in this scenario. He keeps hiring & firing managers who keep the money coming in. Spends relatively little. Even when they go down they come straight back up.

Makes you wonder if it's better the devil you know though. Look at Villa after Doug Ellis left.

Newcastle are probably the biggest club in that league outside the top 6 sides. They certainly shouldn't be settling for 4th bottom each season. I think if we were an established top flight club like they are then we would think the same. In terms of potential they are massively underachieving IMO.

Ashley uses the club to promote his Sports Direct business. Simple as.

In their heads I guess they want their huge, loyal support rewarding. A bit like us. Maybe spend a few quid & make a push for european football? Them , that is, not us!
