All he had to do was PM player on twitter for reason he was going home.

He's too bothered about always getting the big headlines all the time rather than having a bit of respect. Too many journos around like that.

The Sheffield Star's Google survey was probably desperate for a few more entries before the night is out.

On a serious note Dom was probably told it was an injury to protect Jordan's privacy, was probably better to tell him the truth and ask him to keep it quiet.

The fact it makes Dom looks a bit of a mammory gland is hilarious though, he's the world's most hapless man.

Ffs dom,

Made himself look like a right tool. I.. Sure if hes off home its obviously important and probably private.

Dom wont learn though, same could happen tomorrow and he'll write another bull article.

This modern urge to be first with the breaking news seems to have led to a complete disregard for whether a story belongs in the public sphere or is even newsworthy in the first place.

Let's hope whatever the situation is has a happy resolution and having it discussed on Twitter by a so-called journalist doesn't cause undue distress to those involved.

But I also agree with this.

With Hector unlikely to return next season, there’s no reason why Thornily shouldn’t be first choice CB.

Anyway, glad that he’s not injured.

Can't help but think Borner will be ahead of him, if Hector returns or not.

He does, Thorniley shouldn't be responding to this kind of message, he's at fault here not Dom.

His snappy response concerns me that he's been sent home, hopefully not.

Yeah, what's Thorniley playing at correcting a misleading Tweet about himself from a journalist, eh?

:duntmatter:

We can speculate all day about why he might be going home, but clearly he doesn't want to discuss it on Twitter, which is fair enough.

Snappy response? What did you want him to do? Put kisses on the end of his tweets?

That’s a blow.  Was hoping the lad would have a big season for us.  Our best centre half IMO.

Not sure he's our best but ready to be a regular. Put in some top efforts and kept his head in the worst of the Jos days.

Nothing to see here IMO, journalists can't win sometimes. If he hadn't reported something he'd have been slated for that as well.

Eh!?

If a journalist has nothing accurate to report, then they should report nothing. Jumping to conclusions and reporting false news is not the way to go.

It's really quite simple: journalists can win by reporting accurate stories.
