Leicester have manipulated the rules to deprive another club of compensation for the money they have invested in a youth player. This is very different to our finding ways around FFP to put more money into our club all funded at DCs expense.

It's a bit like the old saying "Tax avoidance is a game of skill whilst Tax evasion is a crime"

Whatever

No it isn't, it's exactly the same.

The end result just isn't in our favour, and doesn't suit the victim culture.

Not at all.

When you bend the rules, you can't pick why you bend them. You either bend them or you don't. Rules are rules.

The fact we have fans bleating that someone has bent them better than us is a bit embarrassing, considering our dodgy fake companies etc.

Leicester schooled our Chairman. Let's put it behind us and move on.

Indeed.

We handled it badly. Move on.

Stunned that this is the biggest thread for months when we have an exciting season on the horizon.

Just shows how an element of our fanbase love being victims.

Nothing like. You must have missed this one

And yet, after the best part of two months away from Owlstalk, you've contributed over a dozen posts to it and pretty much ignored every other thread!

Instead of moaning about the loop hole we should just be doing a similar thing ourselves assuming that Chansiri is still saying he’d chuck millions at us if he was allowed.

Buy Bangkok United or the likes for a few dollar and then get them to buy Fox and Nuhiu for £80 million a piece

FFP sorted and half of Owlstalk can gloat about one of them in particular being one of the highest value players ever

Whats not to like

Why should Chansiri be allowed to exploit the club in that way by buying Fox and Nuhiu at a fraction of their true market value?

This might have already been said but nothing to suggest Leicester offered a fair price for Hirst and Chansiri wasn’t realistic with valuations again. Leicester then proceeded to go down the feeder club route.

Indeed.

You know what we really need around here?

More George Hirst threads.

:duntmatter:

Never has so much been written about a player who's achieved so little, or who most of us have barely seen kick a football!

Exactly.

Move on, he's no superstar.

David Hirst's legend status is set in stone.

Regarding George, we've only heard one side of the story of why he left SWFC - I thought we would have heard the Hirst side by now, but maybe it will never be made public.

I'm pretty sure it was a complete balls up up by club and player.

I wish George all the best - mistakes have been made, life moves on. He might be back at Wednesday one day, you never know. Just not while Chansiri is here.

The silence from the Hirst camp says it all.

At one point in his career David Hirst was as, if not more, promoting than Shearer.

In his latter days at Hillsboro I saw him a few times in various pubs. Worse for wear and cadging Marlboro lights.

He was a great player for us, but could have been so much more.

He's history, so is George. The way that Leicester (the family club !) have behaved is cheap.

F&£k the lot 'em.

Time to move on.

Or having fake taxi and drinks companies.

Our Apologists have blinkers unfortunately.

Stick to thread, we all know you love to bash the club at every given opportunity.
