Get your point, but if you bend the rules, you don't get to choose which rules are bendable for yourself, and others.

The thing is that if the big clubs start doing things like this regularly then it's even more reason why clubs like ours need to bend the rules of P&S to stand any chance of competing.

Let's be honest here the wages and transfer fees are constantly inflating but clubs in our league are not allowed to spend enough money to compete, whereas those who were already promoted can spend their parachute payments on players as much as they like.

The whole system needs ripping up and starting over if players are going to continue to be paid obscene amounts of money.

So we agree. They bend the rules. We bend the rules.

Hopefully we can stop bleating like snowflakes that it's not fair now.

Should’ve just take the £2million when we offered it to you with him having just 1 year left on his contract.

Also don’t try and pretend we are the only ones bending rules etc when it comes to money and FFP

You pulled some dodgy stuff with your stadium and your owner to help yourselves out with FFP

Ridiculous comment. It's impossible with the ridiculous P&S rules for our club to compete.

Why should we accept less than we would probably get in compensation just because your a premier league team?

Leicester are one of the main instigators of the impossible rules we now have to follow and you arent in a position to say anything really.

The amount of money in football along with the diving and cheating is ruining the game.

And when it comes to the morals of football clubs. Let’s not forget Leicester put themselves into admin some years ago, before they became good again. How many people did that affect in the community?  Not to mention the shady sponsorship stuff that has paper trails to empty offices in sheffield owned or leased by a certain family who’s father used to be our chairman.

we all know this was happening and it was agreed between hirst snr and pearson ,they both dislike chansiri and wanted to pull a stunt . after a pathetic season in Belgium last season there would be no way this would happen but it was already agreed over 12 months ago , why this stunt had to be pulled I don't know , Leicester would have had to pay 2-300grand to us ,small change for them but pearson and hirst didn't want chansiri getting a penny ,remember though hirst jnr was banned playing for us for a large part of the season so kind of get the bitterness by them . there are too many shady things happening in football and if the fa and football league had a brain cell and morals these  things wouldn't happen.

No bleating from me, they haven't actually broken any rules it's just a bit of a joke the way they have done it when they can afford not to.

Ah that old chestnut is doing the rounds is see - We’re not allowed to be annoyed by Hirst’s actions, because...wait for it...we’ve used some loop holes to get around a poorly implemented and pretty unfair P&S system. Still paying our bills, still paying our players and staff, still paying our taxes.

Hirst's camp weren’t interested in P&S rules when they demanded daft wages for an unproven kid.  Same as any player. Could argue that clubs get into trouble because of agents and players making demands. Let’s be honest, players hold all the cards these days. Of all the criticisms I’ve got of Chansiri, the Hirst saga isn’t one. A

However you look at it; We paid for his development over a long period of time. Paid for his hotels, his travel, his medical bills. Maybe he doesn’t owe the club anything, but as the club that developed him we deserved to get some payment - might not have been much, but leaves a bad taste given the fact we desperately need some revenue for the flippin P&S gonads.

Should have sold him then

Indeed.

We handled it badly. Move on.

Stunned that this is the biggest thread for months when we have an exciting season on the horizon.

Just shows how an element of our fanbase love being victims.

Instead of moaning about the loop hole we should just be doing a similar thing ourselves assuming that Chansiri is still saying he’d chuck millions at us if he was allowed.

Buy Bangkok United or the likes for a few dollar and then get them to buy Fox and Nuhiu for £80 million a piece

FFP sorted and half of Owlstalk can gloat about one of them in particular being one of the highest value players ever

Whats not to like

Brilliant :Sid:

Depends on your morals I suppose. It's not surprising at all what they have done and they had every right to but thatvdoesnt make it right when they could easily afford to pay us the compensation and we need the money.

We could have just accepted the 2 million but if we thought we were going to get more in compensation then why should we?

Fully agree. Wonder why we are in the mire? Because Chansiri hasn't a clue. Turned down £2mill and then let's him rot and go for nothing. On a principle. Thanks.

If he had taken the money perhaps he wouldn't have to be managing D taxis and Elevate

Looks like they have played within the rules to me. Unless proven otherwise. Morally wrong or not. Like us.

Leicester have manipulated the rules to deprive another club of compensation for the money they have invested in a youth player. This is very different to our finding ways around FFP to put more money into our club all funded at DCs expense.

It's a bit like the old saying "Tax avoidance is a game of skill whilst Tax evasion is a crime"

If we thought?? Surely we would know what the compensation amounts are, arent they stipulated somewhere, i thought they were, im not sure on that one.

Either way we made an offer to tempt a lad who didnt want to stay anyway (apparently) and it got rejected so were going to lose him anyway. If we had do e some work beforehand we may have noticed that and sold him when we had the chance. Thats the business isnt it.

Im sure if the boot was on the other foot we would have played the game the same as them (well i say that but unsure with DC as his dealing is generally rubbish) and then we could all be watching the other clubs fans moaning like we are.

It was in our hands but whats the point trying to keep a player who doesnt want to samtay anyway. Cash in when you can.
