Programme discount for new campaign

Is this more worrying than it should be?

The club trying to claw in lump sums for benefit now, rather than in the future.

Surely another sign of the looming embargogeddon meltdown

How much are season tickets?

The prices seems a bit disproportionate

Are other magazine subscriptions this much?

Spurs have been doing it for a few years £ 84 for 26 editions  but they have free P&P , European postage £40 rest of the world £60

The blunts do it for £99 but their European postage is £51 rest of the world £100 , so on about par with Spurs but cheaper than the blunts if you live abroad.

Breaking news???

Was on official site 8 hours ago FFS.

Please try to keep up.:Sid:

I know. I was just trying to get a GENUINE breaking news thread to stick. All the others get deleted when they diverse into some totally irrelevant subject.

This program news is a genuine club release and cannot be disputed by anybody.

Or maybe, like with publishers of pretty much every other magazine or regular publication, they want subscribers because it makes it easier to forecast how many to print, makes it easier to sell advertising space and removes the 'per issue' selling costs.

Agreed.

What ever the reasoning behind it, credit where it’s due. This looks like a decision that makes commercial sense for once.

What don't you understand about the term "Breaking News".

Surely breaking news is something that has just been reported, not news that is 8 hours old.

Perhaps you should have titled you thread "Broken News"

It should simply be "First announcement of a new story". Too many drama queens work in the media

It was the latest breaking news from the club. You missed the point I was trying to make.

Never mind.

So spurs and blades are already doing it but we think it’s a waste of time?!

i think this is a great move. I wish the club would take it one step further though and offer a digital option either via email or through an SWFC app.

I'm guessing this will only apply to fans who can't get to matches.

23 games X £3 = £69 (£31 for postage)

In the cup we may get drawn away / get knocked out early.

Am I missing something.....unless programmes are shooting up in price.

I've just done exactly the same calculations before seeing your post. Doesn't seem like a good deal to me.

that £31 must cover the admin, postage, packaging etc

which works out to about a quid each programme (for addressing the envelope & posting)

thats not a lot really

It's a minimum 24 games, seeing as we've already been drawn at home in the cup.

24 x £3 = £72

P&P for £28 for 24 programmes = £1.17 per programme, which is slightly less than it'd probably actually cost to post a large letter at business rates with franking machines

Ties in with other similarly ill-conceived schemes like Club 1867.

who the **** comes up with this lot?

whoever is in the think tank, needs to start thinking. WTF: WAWAW blows down the street like tumbleweed, but makes way for £100's worth of programmes sent to your door.

last week my bank statement went missing, what chance with 20 odd match programmes?

Far enough..National Geographic is around £146 (current offer £56) for 24 issues.
