Bluesteel
I’d heard from a decent source he was seriously looking at coming here and that was a few weeks ago. Perhaps he’s the “free agent” we’re talking about. Guessing it’s worth Sunderland paying off a percent of his wage now than the entire cost and another club gets him on a normal wage. unkastav
God no. Big wages. Not fitting with fresh hungry direction. Guaranteed suspensions signs friday then

Tamworthowl
So much for "In Bruce we trust". I hope he's heading elsewhere, but a decent alternative to Pelupessy and Hutchinson, if on sensible wages.
Bluesteel
He won’t be on a huge wage here if he’s a free agent as usually that means there’s a pay up of some kind or a sacrifice. Must admit whilst he looked decent when Sunderland first came down from the PL. he looked quite slow last season. Nonetheless, he’s a leader and I like his character on the pitch. The general consensus from the mackems I know is that for whatever reason they do look a better team when he’s playing. Scored 7 times last season too. bigash_swfc
Easy to say no. But. He'll be alot better than Pelupessy and available more often than Hutchinson. So if Brucey wants him, then I'm happy with our new enforcer in the middle

This taken from the Northern Echo LEE CATTERMOLE has left Sunderland with immediate effect, ending a ten-year association with the club. The midfielder had one year of his previous contract remaining, but is understood to have come to an agreement that sees him leave the Stadium of Light. The Stockton-born midfielder was a key part of Jack Ross' squad last season, but was one of the club's highest-paid players, earning a reported £35,000-a-week.
