Joe Wildsmith

Would live to see both him and Dawson our on loan. Lower end championship or promotion league one. Sign a keeper in on loan or a one year deal using the wages that we get off the books with the loan. Balanced for ffp and getting game time for two very good young keepers

don't know whats happening with wildsmith 2 years ago looked a real talent ,he ended up sitting in crowd with us at leeds and looked dejected ,ideal situation would be for dawson and wildsmith to take turns on a half season loan ,but then we would need another keeper unless we have a 24 hour recall on them.

Very simple really he should have been getting game time but Jos didn't play him at all instead let Dawson play every game, conceding 40 goals in 20 games and not getting a look in can affect you confidence a lot. Add to that Wildsmith was also not playing in the development games giving Mccullen the games who the club released at the end of last season.

We have a great coaching team up to under 18 but the development from under 18 to first team players is simple appalling by the team, we should be producing players every year with the talent we have, barely any players come through from our youth team. We sign players from other youth set up and other than 1 or 2 end up release them too.

This over the next few years needs to improve massively - it will help us make and also save a lot of money if we are producing our own Hectors, Westwoods, Hutchs, Fletchers.

It's a good plan, premier league teams do this with an experienced, comparatively cheap back up GK,  who rarely plays.

Depends who will take Dawson and Wildsmith though, only a certain amount of opportunity for GK's compared to outfield players.

They do now need to be playing games though to progress.

For me one of them goes to Rotherham, should be first choice and local enough that they don't need to move.

I would then try to send Wildsmith to somewhere league one or two he needs to play week in week out, get his confidence back and he will improve as there is a very good young payer in him.

Why would he be their first choice yet deemed not good enough for this league by us ?

They don't have any failure payment cash to spend and arnt exactly flush.

Last seasons keeper I believe was there on loan, so maybe that's the way they have decided to go again.

Wouldn't cost them the earth in wages, is still young and maybe if it works out they can get a local lad in on the cheap if he's deemed surplus to requirements here.

There's also the point that he'll not get a game here as according to quite a few on here we already have the world's greatest goalkeeper here in Westwood lol

jos gave him a run of 20 games so to say he didn't play him is a load of old pony ……...your second point …..you say we have talented young players and yet when jos tried to introduce them into the 1st team he got pelters for preferring them over the experienced players …...I agree that we need to produce our own players but our supporters have to get behind the manager and young players while the find there feet at championship level and some seem reluctant to do that …..the treatment from some fans of wildsmith after  his gaffes against Birmingham was a disgrace and it's no wonder he lost confidence .

Through kids in when they are not ready damages them some never recover.

his plan was plain stupid, you slowly brighten in not have half the team of kids.

His played Wildsmith 2 times last season that's it, I would call that giving him a go.
