Been to Leeds loads and never experienced that at all.
Inspector Lestrade
Have to say there has been a massive sea change in how fans are treated since the days of getting herded to the ground and woe betide if you stepped in the road. Still a long way to go, away fans can only use certain pubs, why should anyone tell you which pub you can or cannot use? Not been able to drink on coaches but other sports fans can. Police are at their best when they assist you instead of denying you. There are plenty of helpful and friendly cops, it's a pity they are forgotten when you run across the dogmatic and unhelpful ones.

Always have been always will be. Other forces have adapted from the 80s age but ours are stuck in the past. I'm not that widely travelled within the uk now that I can comment on present other forces. but having travelled extensively in earlier times I found small local forces a bit more understanding, than their big city compatriots. numerous forces in larger areas are 'up for it' without a doubt, with a decent stick in your hand, some spray, plenty of 'up for it' mates at hand, aggressive dogs, AND the law on your side why wouldn't they be? but policing will always be about JOB NUMBERS and MONEY, remind me, what is it YOU go to work for? pahowl
SYP are wanting to improve. Together with supporters and safety officers from all South Yorkshire clubs they have helped set up an Independent advisory group. Twitter @sypiag Neil from OT was invited to attend but never did. The group has met four times since its formation in February, these meetings are aimed at improving the overall fan experience and the policing of games. At SWFC some of the group observed the egress of fans from the away end at the Aston villa , with a view to see how this could be improved. It is very early days . The chair of the group(elected by the non police members) is Martin O'Hara (deputy chair of FSF) and a Donny rovers/England fan. As you may be aware Martin and the fsf operate @fsa_faircop . If you want to send any messages to the group then please do so on twitter @sypiag

How can anyone forget Orgreave, 130 fake and forced statements following the Hillsborough diaster and the 300 girls abused by Asian Grooming Gangs in Rotherham. They even messed up in the Cliff Richard case. SYP force are a complete laughing stock and it is unbelievable that they are still in existence. 100% Spot on about SYP.as a force they are no longer fit for purpose in this day and age. How unfit you have to be to be a copper and blaming the weight of the equipment making them unable to run five feet rather than the fifty pies and laziness .Most of the people they catch are released without charge and the ones they actually prosecute get laughably light sentences . The voice overs are great , public member drives like an idiot and its , fool putting lives in danger . Copper drives like it's his first day behind the wheel and its , only the drivers fantastic skill and training stopping an accident so what does 153 feel like 153? Exhilarating mate, feckin exhilarating. FFS

I’m not after individuals names, obviously, but specifically whether comments were made from SYP or other organizations such as SCC, SAG or indeed SWFC ... For reference, this was the game where Mr Ben Cowcill of MMU attended as part of his site visit for the MMU report commissioned by SYP Thanks in advance

nevthelodgemoorowl
Actually, this could prove to be a useful piece of evidence in our court appearance. Far from a consistent message being received on Health and Safety. The SYP commissioner, in discussion with SAG, are sending mixed messages as to how SWFC should proceed on H&S issues.
